Stretch it back 5-10 years and the only one I can honestly say I'd love back is Alonso all the others were happy to go so they can go **** themselves
Not really Sami no as he was coming to the end of his playing career. Love the man as he is a god and legend (and we sold him maybe one year early) but I don't really think of him as someone I'd like back playing now
Your looking at this article in a slightly different way to me there. I was thinking of players we miss ignoring the fact that players age etc, like we have a magically time machine that can take them from one time period to another if you like. We never replaced Hyypia and lack goals from set pieces. IMO Hyypia is one of the best defenders to grace the Premier League so obviously we miss him. However, if your taking age into acocunt then obviously we wouldn't want him now, same goes for Torres but that is more on ability. PS - ignoring the ages, I'd have Hamann too.
