    What the ****.

Even going by your small-minded geographical fan necessity thingy, people from Snaith, Goole and Howden areas who consider Leeds their local club shouldn't be able to support us, and they're "Hull lads"? <laugh>

I'll remember to tell my friends from Doncaster that they're actually from Sheffield, and any Bradford or Huddersfield folk I meet that they're actually Leeds lads.

Do you like living in East Yorkshire?

It's basically the country cousins of Hull people.

    You're one of us.

East Yorkshire is a region, the comparison you make involves towns, so it is irrelevant and meaningless.

    Back to school, thicko.

Haha. If it was another neighbouring town you'd have a point. East Yorkshire isn't a neighbouring town it's the wider area that includes Hull. Hull is the only City in East Yorkshire and there isn't even a medium-sized town nearby, never mind another team. If you're from East Yorkshire your local team is Hull, there isn't any debate to that.

So you're not allowed to support your local team just because you live in a different 'region'?

Open your mind and you might be a little bit happier. People will support who they deem the right club for them. If I were from Hull, I certainly wouldn't want to be a fan of a tin-pot club like the Tigers.

Yes there is. Distance. How long it takes to get somewhere. Where you feel affiliated with as your nearby big city. I seriously doubt most Goolies would go to Hull for a day-trip, say, when Leeds is just down the road. Leeds is many East Yorkshire people's local team and city in terms of distance and the other factors above.

What's your feeling about the Scandinavian Tigers?

Maybe like my-self some of us were not born in east yorkshire so do not associate ourselves with the area we have had to move here for various reasons some of which could have been forced upon us.

My feeling is that they are great. They have their local teams in their own countries but having come to England they chose Hull City, many of them simply because when they opened up 'Football Manager' they noticed we were the bottom team in the entire country and decided to go for the underdog. I haven't asked them all but I daresay they are still proud of their roots, support their other local team back home and certainly don't just abandon their local team or area just because there is a temporarily better one down the road.

So you didn't move here (as you said on the other thread) but you weren't born here either?

    Impressive.

    Or indeed Leeds.

Sounds like you'd suit a Top 4 club, if silverware gives your fragile ego the support it seems to need.

To be fair Goole is in East Yorkshire and there local team could be us or them, they support whoever they do just beacause they are not from Leeds, if they go to games it doesn't make them any less of a fan. Also lets be fair our fans went quiet after 5 minutes, we can hardly talk about the level of singing, especially after boo'ing a song of the opposition. Surely sing our own song and outsing them. No lets boo them...... I was ashamed when we did that. Its like booing another nations national anthem.

I've heard this said before. The way I see it it's a song that's purely Leeds and for that reason alone I don't ever want to hear it. Just the sound of it annoys me and I fully support the idea of booing that crap being sung in our stadium.

I couldn't even the vermin singing; just a few puffs half-heartedly twirling their scarfs imitating the big clubs

This quote tells me all I need to know about you - and it aint much

Thankfully decent football fans up and down the country do support their local teams - otherwise the game wont survive.

The reason we were quiet was the cheap tickets and cheaper football you offered did not bring out the best of us. I for one would rather watch Leeds play at Scunthorpe as at least they take supporting their team seriously.

Really, I for one can not believe that you got handed the stadium by the council, you had Premiership football and yet you still threw it all away and still don't have any real supporters???

You have to rely on Leeds bringing 5000 on cheap tickets, then moan that we don't lift the atmosphere in your little tin bowl for your cup final.

    Poor, very poor...

    Agreed.

Abysmal- and 48 hours too late also.

Probably skulked back onto the vermin board announcing 'Chuffin' eck I've been winding them' ull lot up a treat!'

Probably obese with a tache, he wears an XL Leeds managers coat and has his pic taken outside Elland Rd next to the Wee Cheating Billy statue.

To be fair, most people in Donny do support a Sheffield club, some of the deluded fools even support Leeds.
