my vote so far is Wayne Rooney because he's been in a great form for us this season, scored a lot of goals as well and not only the goals, his contribution to our team has also been superb.

    Either Rooney or Carrick.

Almost everyone else has been inconsistent or in and out of the team due to one reason or another.

    This. <ok>

If you only considered the past few months I'd throw Valencia, Evans, and De Gea in the mix too. Season long Rooney and Carrick have been performing on a consistent basis.

    Agreed.
Would also like to mention Scholes coming back whilst we had an injury nightmare, not only coming back but like a scholesy of old.

For me Nani has been head and shoulders above any other United player this season, because any player who can consistently hit the first defender every time he takes a corner, must be good, init !!!!

I agree with Carrick and Evans and even Valencia

However I think wayne has been anything but consistent. With consistency he would be a 30+ goals a season striker
I personally think his goal tally is not a fair reflection of his performances this season. Thats my opinion anyway I know some will not agree

Also I would give a shout to Welbeck. Not a goal scoring machine and has a lot to learn in terms of an out and out striker (think he is a little clumsy), However his workrate is comparable to Rooney and Tevez combined. This isnt realised on the TV but live its amazing how much effort he puts in. Defends from the front
I hope UTD fans dont turn on him due to goals scored

Agree about Welbeck, his attitude is top notch. He always puts in 100%. If he can become more prolific in front of goal. He can become a world class striker IMO. The reason his work rate doesn't get highlighted is because he isn't a high profile player. The media wouldn't say a word about Berbatov being "lazy" if he wasn't a £30m transfer.

IMO Rooney could be a 30+ goal striker every season if he was pushed up top as an out and out striker like he was in 09-10, but we'd then stifle everything else he brings to the team. We clearly play much better when is Rooney is the creator.

Evans has improved big time, but Carrick gets my vote just over Valencia
