"he isnt even on the bench for them" shows how much he takes notice! It seems very strange, cause i remember when the deal went through their owner tweeted that they had an agreement to have one of our CB's on loan after ryan bennett joins us.
Either posh hot the wrong end of the stick or Barry Fry is lying to keep ferguson/fans happy making it seem like us not playing fair. There's no way that was in the original deal, I imagine they were presented with a choice between Bennett on loan for a month or Barnett on loan for a month and they assumed they were getting both. The lesson is always read what you sign.
just for the record, is anyone that bothered if we let barnett go on loan to posh? i think it would be a good deal, even if it wasn't supposed to happen! he isn't going to be playing much for us but he needs games to stay fit just in case. i say let them have him anyway
aren't we owed one from them anyhow, after they got Joe Lewis from us on the cheap under the Roedent days?
i'll disagree with this. i think we've done rather well out of the posh! drury, mckenzie and martin to name but three. joe lewis cost them £400k plus add ons and he hasn't really set the world alight to be honest. roeder probably should have kept him as we spent the following year using loan keepers but i think the money we got for him was pretty good looking back.
superman, you are probably right there. What about CMS though? Would you have liked to see him play for us this year, rather than Vaughan or Morrison?
i don't think lewis was ever really good enough - too many weaknesses. as for mackail smith i would have liked to see us sign him but with hindsight i think we were better off without him. i don't think he'd cut it in the premier league on what i've seen of him at brighton.
Why don't we lend them Barnett anyway, as long as the player agrees of course. It would be a nice gesture even if Posh are in the wrong. Whitbread, injuries aside, is a first starter. Then its one out of: Ward, Ayala, Bennet or even Martin so we don't need Isobel as cover at all.
Now there's a name from the past. Quite apt for a defender when talking about the defensive line I suppose. "What's my line gaffer?" For you young ones, that was a TV programme in black and white
Not so unusual for you budgies to act in an underhanded manner to get who you want. Of course you made a commitment to loan them a centre back that you had no intention whatsoever of honouring. You lot are really racking up the bad karma; I canât wait for your demise! I see your form has been quite ropey over recent weeks, looks like the rot has finally set in.
Guess you were right all along eh mikey Stop being a cocktease and give us what we want! We need a prediction to put our minds at rest boy!
This is Fergie Jr just two days ago and no mention of expecting us to send someone their way, just that he was annoyed he only got Bennett back for a month. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17263763 He actually goes on to say at the end that they have he's hopeful he'll have someone in for the weekend saying that "There's two or three on the list that we can't just get over the line". So is all this because they can't get anyone in so they're having a pop at us to try an placate their fans to cover up that none of their targets want to join the club? And on a side note, Yeah, very ropey. We lost to Man Utd, the defending champions, and Stoke away, where only Man Utd have won all season.
I heard we wanted to loan them Barnett or ward but lambert decided to keep ward and Barnett wanted to stay so in the interest of the deal we loaned them Bennett back for a month so they could arrange loan cover.
Can't we loan/give them colu_mike instead.? He could still do his "Blatter and McNally are as corrupt as each other" and "you'll go down with less points than Derby" witterings from the subs bench. And his predictions - which 9 (nine) times out of ten end in epic failure
