Who would buy the club with the big tax case looming? The investigations by all and sundry? Liquidation and a newco would suit BK though.
Basically, it boils down to two options: - someone buys the club - severe cut backs to the squad If neither of those things happen in the next few days then Rangers will be unable to fulfill their fixtures for the rest of the season.
And considering there is the little matter of a potential £50m HMRC bill coming their way who is going to be mad enough to buy the club?
Just for you smart arse, put in pipe and smoke. SECTION G: INQUIRIES, COMMISSIONS, ADJUDICATIONS AND APPEALS Powers of the Board and Commissions G6.1 Upon determining that a breach of or failure to fulfil the Rules has been established, the Board or, as the case may be, a Commission may:- G6.1.4 annul the result of an Official Match; G6.1.6 impose a deduction of points; G6.1.7 award an Official Match (with such deemed score as it thinks appropriate) to a Club; G6.1.12 withdraw or withhold the award of a title or award; G6.1.18 make such other direction, sanction or disposal, not expressly provided for in these Rules, as it shall think appropriate; and/or G6.2 When imposing a direction, sanction or disposal the Board or, as the case may be a Commission, may apply such number and combination of the directions, sanctions and/or disposals provide for in Rule G.1 as it thinks appropriate, may make such provision for time to comply with any one or more of same as it thinks appropriate, may defer for such period or until such event as it shall think appropriate the decision on or imposition of a sanction or sanctions and shall be entitled to suspend the effect of any such direction, sanction or disposal for such period and/or on such conditions as it thinks appropriate.
One would think Mr King had more to concern himself about than Rangers. It seems that playing loose with HMRC money and tax due to other jurisdictions has been a common trait amongst the Rangers elite 'wealthy' backers. Their activities are now obviously somewhat at odds with their fans, many of whom have been extremely vocal over the years in professing their 'loyalty' to the crown.....
Surely you have not deserted your beloved ship just yet.......or have you decided to fully complete your desired move to support the mighty Celtic?
The admins have just confirmed that there will be no European football for Rangers next season. File under 'stating the obvious'.
No, it doesn't. It simply means that if they don't get a buyer in the next few days, the first team squad is for the chop and the under-19s will see out the season.
Since taking over they've underestimated everything. Go back to the first press conference and they were claiming there was a very good chance that the club would be out of administration by the end of March. These ****s are about as reliable as Craig Whyte.
It's been drip drip then we had Kings liquidation statement today then the latest. It will be curtains and a newco. Bears will claim it's the same club but deep in their hearts they will know the truth.
