There are some games in the premiership people like to watch wherever they are in the world. The following games stand out. 1.Liverpool v Manchester United 2.Arsenal v Chesea. 3.Manchester United v Manchester City. 4.Liverpool v Everton. 5.Tottenham v Arsenal. Anywhere in the world people will stay up and watch them no matter the time zone. What make them stand out.? From Africa to Asia, America to Australia, they cannot afford to miss them. League position does not determine the interest of people watching them.
need to sort out the title of the thread For me Liverpool United but I do enjoy a good Arsenal x united game due to the Viera and keane days and the intensity was good. I think you also have to put Liverpool x Chelsea in there. Since 2005 I always look forward to that fixture and kicking the right **** out of them
United vs Liverpool everytime. It's the only game that can challenge Barca vs Real. Citeh and United may come close but this will take along time and depend on Citys success in years to come. Even then it still probably wouldn't be as big worldwide as United vs Liverpool
People living in the now will see the Manc Derby as eclipsing any of the others. None of the others come close to that in terms of relevance.
Well as a United fan living in the now, I see the United vs Liverpool game as more attractive. Maybe not as relevant but most United fans I know anticipate United vs Liverpool alot more than United vs City
If you haven't seen a River plate X Boca Juniors derby game yet you need to catch one. That **** is bonkers!
http://www.footybunker.com/liverpoo...d-biggest-club-game-in-the-world-by-far/12702 Managed to find this - Only read it briefly but you can clearly see in the table when you scroll down that the Liverpool and Manchester United game is very popular. PS- Couldn't find the rest, was in a rush - sorry.
United vs Liverpool everytime but then, I'm a Liverpool fan so only the only other game that comes into consideration would be Liverpool v Everton but it is a no brainer for me.
Liverpool v Chelsea for me. I never enjoy the United games (odd exception) where as I look forward to Chelsea and putting that lot in their place. They literally stand for everything we dislike and represent. Obviously don't like United either. But yeah Chelsea really rile me, from a kid with that 4-3 game, and 4-0 a few years later - but 95% for the period between 05-10 with Mourinho, those scum players, the money and some of the plastic fans they picked up + flags + recently Torres. Liverpool v United is a highly passionate game, but so is Chelsea's which stems into hatred - but also provides better quality games.
In any given season for me it's any of the top four playin agin each other, plus ManU v LFC. Now, in years gone by ManU v Leeds or LFC v Leeds was a big game, and if they got back to PL I reckon that would take some beating for atmosphere. Regarding El Classico, a big advantage the EPL has over Spanish/Italiish leagues is time zone + kick off times, hence why the Real Madrid chap wants to shift the kick off times for the big games to 3pm. That'd be like our mid week games switching to 3pm. Now during school holidays, I wouldn't mind being able to take an afternoon off to go watch football. Too often mid week games mean getting home past midnight, making the whole thing a mad rush to get home before you fall asleep at the wheel.
