Well we are odds on to loose, but that means that any upset is even bigger. So its up to you, have you got £130 to spend?
not really, it just annoys me that they're preventing away fans from supporting their club! It'd be a protest if i went! lol I'm so pee'd off about it!
Assombalonga bagged 2 for Braintree vs Newport. Which reminds me, Conor smith and Tommy Hoban are still on loan at the Stones, who having disposed of Cambridge are in the semis of the FA Trophy vs Newport. Other semi finalists are Luton v York. Imagine a Wealdstone vs Luton final at Wembley with a couple of hornets playing for the Stones!
A defender who scores goals - there's a novelty!! Lloyd will be sweating I take it that this is an 'emergency' loan - the emergency being that Pompey may not exist for very much longer?
Thats what I was thinking. We have Tiny on th verge of return, we have Bennett and Thompson as cover. why do we need another one? We haveenkugh players atm imo. We just need to give them a chance before we get anyone else in..
Maybe this is a 'loan' where we are paying them a 'transfer' fee and we will get his permanent registration in the summer. It might be Tiny isn't staying so we are after younger, long-term cover (maybe if Mapps goes in the summer too) and we are just getting him now while we can, before anyone else does!
As far as this season is concerned we're fine at centre back, we're fine at right back, we're fine for defensive midfielders, and if we can't stay up from our current position then no amount of money is going to change things. The only plausible reason for signing him now is if it is a similar deal to the one we did with Derby for Nathan Ellington. For those who have forgotten how that worked, we would pay the bulk of the proposed transfer fee as a loan fee, agree conditional personal terms, and he's ours for little or nothing if we want him. But I'm not sure if you're allowed to do this with emergency loans. And I hope this doesn't happen in any case, because it would remove any remaining hope of us keeping Mariappa.
We officially played unnamed triallist up front for 90 minutes in a behind closed doors match, and this was after Trotta signed. Given the secrecy, it's a reasonable guess that it was Nouble. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ws/9558167.McGinn_plays_first_game_in_a_year/
I did read that, but really meant by 'official' that the club had not released any information. Could easily have been any one of a number of Glasgow Rangers players
Doesn't make sense for clubs to loan players from Rangers at this point in time. There are plenty of people there who could hack it at plenty of respectable clubs, but nearly all of them are overpaid. It makes far more sense to let the administrators make the first move. I'm actually a (the only?) fan of the transfer window system, but the plight of Rangers demonstrates why there needs to be some flexibility. It would be in the interests of them, their players and other clubs to be allowed to hold a fire sale right now. With the emergency loan system in place it's not as if the buying clubs would be gaining a significant advantage over their rivals.
There are quite a few on the lower end of the club's pay structure (if such a thing exists!), two of whom have chosen to leave without a pay-off and are free agents - meaning they wouldn't be subject to loan rules. Mervan Ãelik is one who would be worth looking at - current Swedish U21 & known to Alex K.
