Last night was brilliant, it reminded me of when Derek first took over, even if we conceded it looked as though we could get something from the game BUT we are where we are for a reason and just because we beat Leicester doesn't mean were going to stroll through to the end of the season safe, however after last's night performance it does give us a bit of breathing space and we can go into the next game a bit more confident. Performance last night James - 7 made some great saves which kept us in the game Carey - 6 solid game did what was needed McManus - 7 made some amzing tackles and overall been nothing but impressed Fontaine - 7 Cleared the ball well when in danger McAllister - 7 Brilliant come back made a few mistakes but made up for it with some good tackles Foster - 7 Looked brilliant and deadly on the wing and his pace is what was needed last night Cisse - 8 absolute general last night, looked up for it Pearson - 7 passed the ball well and kept the game flowing Bryan - 6 good debut didnt do much but when he did, he did it fine Stead - 9 100% effort as always held the ball up very well and top it off gets him self a goal MOTM Pitman - 8 had numerous of chances lashed at a few but showed us what he can do playing along side another striker Crowd - 9 We got behind the lads all game and the heard and responded with a great win (well done everybody, lets follow it into Saturday) McInnes - 9 finally played 2 upfront and we got the result, tactically brilliant and gave the players a lot of confidence
Agreed Shiny. You missed a score for Pearson. Mine would be 8/10 for him, kept his head and played in Pitman for the second when the crowd were screaming shoot. I think had he shot, bearing in mind I sit directly behind the goal in the Ateyo, he could have only put it in one place and Kasper surely would have known that and saved it. I like the way he gets the ball and tries to drive forwards too. Always thinking positively. Stead, however, was my MOTM too.
Morning Chaps, Not posted on here yet, but lifelong City fan and went last night. We played well I thought, McManus won a lot in the air, the two central midfielders got through some serious work, and Jonny Stead was working like a trojan as usual. MOM in my opinion. Pitman played well too, and showed to me he was willing to work for the shirt. It seemed like we had a bit of fight last night. We looked fired up, hungry and like we wanted to get a result. I have actually recently almost resigned myself to the fact that we look to be going down, but if we can take a bit of spirit from this win, we may go on our customary run and end up safe... Long way to go though, and some HUGE games coming up and let's hope DM can keep us up!
Shiny - good shout. NamNed - 'but if we can take a bit of spirit from this win' - and have the sheer guts of your namesake we'll be fine.
Red - This is very true! The minerals and sheer courage of the lad would certainly see us over the line, with some to spare no doubt! Wonder if he does motivational naaayying....?
Cheers mate, I think I posted on the old 606 once - but as you say it is a bit of a madhouse on here!
Bonjour Nam, welcome to the cheap seats, stick with me and you won't go wrong! please log in to view this image
If we beat Cardiff I'll get so far ahead of myself Steven Hawking will study me in order to understand time travel.
'Wonder if he does motivational naaayying....?' If KS wins and Zarkander beats the 'Fly' next week we'll know who's responsible.
