No im just questioning why people say: "He's a nice guy, but I still dont trust him", Im not accusing.... Im asking and wondering.

And Genji brings up good points and I agree with his valid viewpoint, but he doesnt speak for the other 99% of F1 fans. I don't have some sort of agenda trying to twist things, im not trying to accuse anybody of my viewpoint above I'm asking the "why" and people start getting defensive when I start to delve into it. What's inane is how hostile people start to get when I put forward "Is this the reason why you dont like him?" it's as likely as any other point put accross.

Your whole approach could of been better just by saying: "No, because, because, because, etc..." Like genji did, rather than call it stupid and pointless as nothing is pointless in the world IMO.

3 votes for Raikkonen, I think seeing his, Grosjeans and Lotus performance is what I am most interested in in the coming season as well as the too hard to call Hulkenburg V Di Resta duel.

btw, I wasn't looking at the votes as a popularity contest and I don't vote that way either, I vote on who I think will win and I just think its interesting that therefore the majority do not think Vettel will win. It certainly looks close.

I linked the other thread because it had the words "popularity contest" which I posted as some harmless fun and I posted the same day as being told that isn't what f1 is - just thought it was funny.

The guy who said Buemi is a top driver is well known as being a very Major Buemi fan and scarily I think he meant it.

Anyone think Webber will get bad luck at his home race for a change?

    Nobody has said that.

Nobody is being hostile either, it is just that whenever someone criticises Vettel you have on several occasions said that it is because he is German <doh>. You seem to have a bit of a fixation on it which I suggest you drop, or at least keep to yourself and not accuse others of being morons.

I guess that's one, if I believe how he is implying it.

But I believe you are, in the same way you believe you are not being hostile. What I see it as is that I cannot suggest something now in this forum without somehow somebody thinking "I sussed you out" when there is nothing to be discovered and your trying to lead that party against me trying to proove it's the case.

Yeah, so I've done my Seb defending last season, does it mean as a --fact-- im going to do it again let alone give a **** this time round?

And I feel people have a major fixation on me being an "Ultra" and nothing else and Im not claiming anybody is a moron if their view is different.

I'll try to be the peacemaker here, which doesn't come entirely naturally to me!

I think it's fair to say that there is a majority of pro-McLaren fans here and, without trying to speak for silverarrow, I would suggest that it can sometimes seem as though every other driver's attributes and value are submerged. There are quite a lot of Button and Hamilton fans to kick back at but the forum would be a lot poorer without the Vettel, Alonso, Raikkonen and Webber fans making their point.

That said, silver could be a little less strident in his expression, but I believe this comes from passion rather than ignorance. ;)

Look guys, at the end of the day we can keep rattling on about the same ****.
The fact of the matter is Michael Schumacher is the most successful driver to have ever walked the planet.
    Hahaha lighten up people. ;)

    Cheers genji.

We all know where we stand now after last season, this driver vs this drivers because etc... is boring and a load of ****e and I think personally we have gone through that phase.
Sorry if I sound blunt, trying to find personal truths, "flaws" (not being negative to anyone here as we all have flaws) in individuals as while studying psychology you start to develop the "why?" to almost everything in this world and you want to go out and discover it so one day you can sit back and go "Wow!, something as silly as that eh?"

I see it as not the (individual/entity) as the flaw but the (mind/body) as a whole we are stuck with which is the flaw and it's a never ending progress for the human race.

Yeah calm down people, nobody is claiming anybody as being a moron or an 'Ultra' (I like that term.... Manny you are an 'Ultra' MS fan). And deffinatly knowbody is wumming here so no need to get your feathers ruffled up. So just discuss with a bit of decorum and enjoy the multiplex of views from everybody. I know we are all excited about the upcoming race around the corner!!!

That it does. Although unlike yourself I'm happy to admit that for this race I've voted more in blind hope than with any sort of insight.

Whatever you think of Lewis, the three seasons in which he has been a genuine title contender have been the closest contests during his time in the sport. The two seasons in which he wasn't a contender were the ones in which a dominant car had a seemingly unassailable lead after half a dozen races.

If Seb gets the triple, I want Lewis in that Red Bull and slap a 10 year contract on both on them lol.

Well if that is the one you are talking about then I do not see what him thinking Vettel can be a bit immature/impetuous has got anything to do with him being German.

If I have made you feel that I am being hostile towards you then that is not my intention.

I have no problem about people defending their 'favoured driver(s)' and I did not mean that you have a fixation on being a Vettel fan, I meant that you have a fixation on him being German and seem to think the only possible reason why other people might not like him all stem from him being German, which is a bit ridiculous.

Just to clarify I have no problem about people supporting or defending any drivers, just that I find it stupid and annoying people claiming other do not like another driver just because of some nationalistic reason.

<laugh> I know someone says this every year but it look like his season will be one of the best yet.

But if Jenson beat's Lewis again, give him the 2nd seat. :) <ok>

Horner said he was confident with the upgrade and that it was working so that's good enough for me.

apparently they are not the only ones and red Bull already has. I think a gold mine has been found to do with exhausts and requires a new chassis built around it.

All those testing miles will now have to be done at race weekends, with none disposable engines, gearboxes etc. Its a risky game but if they think theres a few tenths in it then why not :)
