Today's racing comes from Catterick, Fontwell, Lingfield, and Downpatrick.

The Pipe and Scudamore show blow into down town Catterick with just the two horses, so probably expect a return. Best hope appears to be Clever Dick in the 19f at 16:20. It hit more brush than Davis Hasselhoff when it won last time out at Taunton. If it can put a clean round together, it should just about win. No fancy price though.

The second horse is Ms Cordelia in the Mares Hurdle. The 4yo has won on the flat in France so must be able to get over the ground. It doesn't seem to be much value either, but looks as though it has a shot.

:emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance Are you claiming to be a 'Clever Dick,' Mizz Cordelia?
Good morning, Cyclonic. Beats Ayres Rock Point-To-Points- Cheltenham- doesn't it! You must be envious!

    Morning all.
Had a very quick glance at the cards and only really fancy one, the fav in the Fontwell bumper, Boss in Boots.
Ran well to finish third on debut just tying up, should strip fitter for the run and although not a big price I think there's some 5/2 or bigger around.
Not one to risk the Cheltenham kitty on but a small interest might buy a few drinks.
    Good luck all

Too much is made of the bonus in my opinion. From memory I think only four horses have won the Imperial Cup and tgen followed up.

It's not great racing today but there's a couple of interesting races.

The two i've concentrated on are the bumper at Fontwell and the 4.20 at Catterick.

In the bumper Oliver Sherwood and Leighton Aspell team up with Puffin Billy. I was expecting Stick to be on with a write up about this one as I think it is almost nailed on to win on debut. There was 3/1 available early doors but that's all gone and it now trade around the 7/4 mark as favourite. The only worry if the Victor Dartnall debutant Seebright. That's very weak in the market at 11/1 but i've had a small each way saver on it just in case.

The 4.20 Catterick is a really competitive heat with a few already pulled out to leave just 6 to go to post. The favourite, Royal Entourage, is one I like in this heat after a really nice win last time out. He doesn't have a penalty and gets the 5lbs claim as well. Usually I'd look to take on horses on three timers but don't really see the point today and at 2/1 rates a nice little bet.

Gaye Kelleway tweets that she expects a big run from Conducting at Lingfield in the 3.40.

    Bloody miserable day down here.

Yeah! I can't wait to see if Master Of Arts can win on Saturday.

Seeing if the Imperial Cup winner can do the double at Cheltenham is, for me, one of the highlights of the Festival (Sorry Stick ).

I was over the moon when Gaspara did it a few years back.

Really hope they can do it again this year.

Aaaw.... I'm getting so excited about Chelts...I can't contain myself any longer

    <party> <party> <party>

Sorry about that :emoticon-0111-blush ...do carry on with your daily thread and good luck with your bets.

Before you say it - yeah I know you've heard a dozen of these in the last week but here it is anyway.

A horse riding mate of mine is good friends with somebody who rides out for Twiston Davies and he said they are really kean on the chances of ACKERTAC in the 2m 5f Pulteney Novices Handicap Chase (last race on the Tuesday), he's working very well.

Morning Cyc and all you other lovlies,

One for me today, on a truly average card today is Seren Gris in the 5.20 at Catterick. Ran well on debut, travelling well, before fading out of contention (needed the run) and finished very tired. Should be a strip fitter today, and the lovely Lucy Alexander taking a useful 5 off. BP 7/1 and is excellent e/w value against a shakey favourite.

    Hello lads.

Poor fare today and not sure I'll be playing.Mini gamble on Wild Salmon in the 3.45 at Downpatrick if anyone follows cash.Interesting profile this one has tbh.

Ran well in two Hunter Chases recently, making ground before weakening.Today is 2m2f over timber.Races off only 88 and Barry Cash is an eyecatching booking. Was 16's now as long as 6's in places and trading at 7.4 on the exchanges.

Certainly too short to join in now.

Might be a few gambles in this race (cue SBC) and on paper Tarkeeba looks a likely sort.Cost 150,000 as a yearling and not surprisingly is well related.

Has run well down the field in three decent maiden hurdles to attain a mark and very interesting to see if any money appears for him.Drifting currently.
