I was talking about this with a few mates, and I would LOVE Gabby Agbonlahor at Sunderland. He has pace, he can finish and also has the MON link.

I also think this could be a possibility in the summer. Agbonlahor is played out of position by McCleish, and under MON I remember he florished, scoring 15 goals a season.

    Season Games Goals

    2005–06 9 1
    2006–07 38 9
    2007–08 37 11
    2008–09 36 11
    2009–10 36 13
    2010–11 25 3
    2011–12 21 4

As you can see under MON he scored 10+ in the premiership, under McCleish and Hullier he scored a combined figure of 7 in 2 seasons!!

    Would you welcome Agbonlahor?

not really mate i would prefer an out and out striker with a history of 15 or more another Bent type, but if we cant get anyone of that quality i suppose he could do as a make weight, but our goals at the mo are coming from all over the pitch

    Yeah, I like the lad.

You need a proper goalscorer with him though, as he drifts out wide a lot, an his finishing is 'patchy'.

Quick though, he and Campbell could be cheeky.

Well he's never gonna be prolific but could bring a big contribution to the team.

He ended up being better coming in off the left wing rather than a striker.

I would stick with McClean who I think can only get better as he learns his trade.

I would imagine he'd want massive sheckles like.

I disagree, I think he is far superior upfront. He has been put on the wings to accomodate Bent as both Houlier & McCleish like to play 4-5-1.

Also his finishing could be better, but with the right services he could easily get 15+ goals.

I do think MON will go with the 'Little and Big' striker when he gets his team in the summer.

    Neither for nor against...

I like him....but see Campbell becoming similar.

he has played from the left this season so he could do a job for us on the left of the front 3 in a 4/3/3 formation.

Nope, i havent really rated him tbh, like others have said, his finishing is patchy, one game is perfect, the nest its like he's been taking advice from heskey. I'd rather have the Pog guy at fulham, looks a beast.
