Don't like to keep saying this but the moderators need to learn to be a little more tolerant. I had a perfectly reasonable( no abuse, no complete falsehoods etc.) comment deleted from this site. I just think people should remember that their views and aspirations for the sight may differ significantly to other users of the site and as such should generally let most things ride. Anyone agree? Yes if someone is being over personal and abusive then maybe consider deleting posts but as long as someone is not CONSTANTLY posting such tripe then it should be allowed-- based on the fact that moderators dont have a set in stone agenda for the site...
Dont agree with a lot of your banter but am probably about 90% sure it was that particularly sensitive individual. But lets just have some good crack without it being edited to suit the whims of a few.
As a mod on this board i can categorically state that i have not removed any posts today. I certainly haven't removed any by downunder, as frankly, his patter is so wet and uninteresting it couldn't offend a soul.
Sorry Beak, wasn't on about you. Is CPussy still a moderator ? just he is not listed but I do remember him posting once about his imminent removal of a poster he wasn't happy with. I would appreciate your views on what I have said before- and on other occasions regarding the true role of moderators. Tomorrow prediction 1-1 and maybe a goal for Henderson who seems to be getting plenty of jip off some supporters- even if I see him as being very average in Prem League at best unfortunately for the lad...

My view of moderation is very, very simple mate. If it's not racist, homophobic, and it isn't direct personal abuse without cause then it's ok. I've modded here for a couple of months now, and removed about 8 posts, one of which was my own. Serial wums i generally leave to it, as the fact they have nowt better to do generally suggest to me they have their own problems to deal with, and generally they have nowt of any real substance to says. We're in the main adults on this board, and as for Sunderland v Newcastle banter? I'd never water that down as it's what makes us who we are. In defence of the Sunderland lads, i rarely receive requests to remove threads and posts, or ban anyone, the only time that happened he was one of our own, on the whole our lads embrace the banter and give as good as they get, often better, in my admittedly slightly red n white biased opinion. It's not my concern to be honest mate, if you feel posts have been remove undeservedly, then PM Syd, he's moderator for the whole board, if he feels you have a point he'll inform the moderator concerned, it may be that it was he who has removed whatever post it was, in whch case he will give you an explanation as to why it was removed. For the record, if a POST is removed, it tells you who removed it, if a thread/article is removed, then it doesn't.
