Rangers manager Ally McCoist fights to retain players Source:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17221172
well one has to wonder how the hell they can't simply sell a few guys and get this dealt with. i mean a simpole negoitation of payment and an upfront payment to deal. in the end we all know by next august new owners will have got this club by simply paying off the debt. rangers to be fan owned? 70,000 people x 1000 pounds? seems unlikley but there must be a few millionaires in glasgow.
Rangers deserve the highest punishment possible for their dis-honest way of obtaining success,As well as the numerous many millions they owe in taxes and vat they owe hundreds of thousands of pounds to several other Scottish clubs that are struggling for financial survival that could possibly go out of business because of it. The cheeky twats even bought a player whilst in administration(although the deal was frozen by the administrators),their owners have knowingly over the years bought players with money that belonged to the tax man and the trophies they won during this time should be struck from the record books.
well i can't say as i disagree with any of that... the fans are the ones going to get punished though... although.. your point about other scottish clubs is a very good one.
Its always the fans that suffer, look no further than ourselves when H&G almost wiped us off the map and look at Pompey fans amongst others who's clubs will go out of existance due to corporate mismanagement and greed. Im surprised that none of those who have ruined Rangers FC are in court for fraud.
Wylde and Celik leave Rangers as administrators reject pact Source:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17221172
Rangers are not a club i particularly like but the young Rangers player(Gregg Wylde)who has volunteered to leave the club and put himself out of work to help the club hes supported since boyhood during their finacial nightmare deserves praise. His sacrifice puts the prima-donna's to shame. Well done kid.
Especially this bit "I volunteered to walk with no redundancy package today to help the other people in the club who have families, like the kitchen staff."
The SPL Board has instructed an investigation into the alleged non-disclosure to the SPL of payments made by or on behalf of Rangers FC to players since 1 July 1998. Notes SPL rules F1, G1.1 and G1.5 give the SPL Board wide powers of investigation into potential breaches of the SPL rules. SPL rules D9.3 and D1.13 impose a prohibition on players receiving payments for playing football or participating in an activity connected with football except where such payments are made in accordance with a form of contract approved by the SPL and require that all such contracts are submitted to the SPL within 14 days of being entered into. please log in to view this image
Wonder what they'll do with all those unwanted stars on their shirts. Most probably they'll end up at paradise.
