That's without remembering Ipswich's illustrious history. Back when I used to take a lot more notice of other clubs [i.e. before the PL made it a 3 or 4 horse race], Ipswich were a club to be feared and respected. They won many trophies and these last years are probably as low as Ipswich have been in their history. At least since 1960. So when you accuse them of small club syndrome you leave our own club wide open to ridicule.
If Pompey do bust is it not better for the region to amalgamate the two clubs? They could be called Porthampton,or Southmouth.
