Pray he isn't - Jeff Schlupp is a young awesome talent, champing at the bit to get a run out ... and he likes playing against teams begiining with the letter B - scored a hat-trick against Bury in the Carling cup earlier this year - be careful what you wish for ... we weren't and ended up signing Ade Akinbiyi (who I first saw playing for you guys in an FA Cup game against Everton at Ashton gate - he must have escaped the defensive shackles of the Everton defence half a dozen times to go one-on-one with the keeper - no goals, but he did hit 2 corner flags, a pigeon on the roof of one of the stands, a tv gantry, a hot dog seller and a local chasing pheasants near Swindon) ... some wounds never heal....

 

Nugent is fine. He took a knock scoring at the weekend but still carried on. Nigel took him and Beckford off towards the end to save their legs a little

Nugent and Beckford are staying to form deadly partnership built on pace, skill and lots and lots of goals

If Brett does not start tonight along side Stead i'm going to stay in the dolman bar and sulk.

 

That would have been risky if Ade was still playing - only safe place was directly behind the net.

 

Realistically, if we're going to get into the play-offs, we should win this. I think it's going to be one of those games where we'll have to dig out and fight for a result rather than out-football the opposition.

It'll probably be Kennedy rather than Bamba on that team. I'll go 1-0 to us with Wellens scoring.
