I think most managers in the league would have turned the whole incident into a non event, by telling their player to apologize and then defending him by saying he is a top bloke and just got carried away in the heat of the moment. End of story. What Kenny did was just make the whole thing boil over into some long drawn out soap opera. Not sure I would have chosen the word monstous, but it certainly wasn't smart.
I don't think Fergie has enamoured himself over the years though has he really?! And If all you can do is attack, it really is true 'You can't educvate pork!' What is it they say 'Attack is the best form of defense' And Christian, Fergie has repeatedly stood by players who have brough the game into disrepute - constantly!I
I don't think any other manager would have done an interview wearing that shirt. He made himself look absolutely ****ing ridiculous.
Don't I know it. But it doesn't mean I ain't gonna hound him for it for the rest of his short not606 career Ah yes, like when SAF fined and suspended Cantona even before the FA had even looked into the case. Or when he let Rio start his drugs test ban early, before the club had even appealed or seen the FA's findings, cos Rio wanted to represent England at Euro 2004. Good to see yet more fahkts emanating from Liverpool...
Don't believe Ferguson would have defended a player in such a case. The nearest to it may have been to just keep his gob shut, an option Dalglish should have chosen if he could not find it within himself to outlaw racism, rather than spout such bilge as his load of old bollocks excuses. Could get him a job as a barrister for Harry Ninebobnote the next time he gets caught. And as the one eyed 'pool fans seem intent on comparing the Saurez racist incident with Cantona's kicking, don't know why to be honest, I don't remember Fergie wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Eric dressed as a Power Ranger . Seems Cantona's great mistake was not making sure the bloke in the crowd was a DJ
Bloody hell. When City and even Leeds fans think Kenny is a bigger knob than SAF then Liverpool fans really ought to take a step back and rethink their thoughts on Kenny. Even Newcastle and Sunderland fans managed to find common ground on here that Kenny was the biggest twat in football.
Some things are bigger than football tribalism mate. If dalglish couldn't see that his actions were to be seen as supporting racism, and even try to consider the effect that would have on the non white people in the whole country, he is, as his tactics suggest, truly mired in the 80's. Unfortunately the scouse myopics follow the leader and much of what they have written in defence of a racist, has been racist itself. A little, perhaps, not unintentional. I do not believe Liverpool alone include racists in the fold, but they mismanaged this incident to such a degree that it was nye on encouraging their neanderthals to come out of the woodwork. And they did. In a town where "self defence " is examplified by " got any Boney M mate " " No, I haven't " " me and my mates are gonna have to give you a kicking in self defence then " and they label that bloke a hero, it's hardly surprising
A member of the racist Leeds Service Crew on the Manc board sucking up,you call them fit to burn on your twitter account. Two faced twat.
Ha ha ha - A Leeds fan preaching about racism - Nearly as funny as some of Swarbs comments (Only nearly mind) Swarbs, fancy a stab in the dark as to why Fergie allowed Rio to start his ban early and don't spout that nonsense about him wanting to represent his country because we all know that's absolute bollocks. He 'allowed' him to start it early because he knew he had deliberately missed the drugs test - But, if you know you're club as well as you claim to, why did he miss the drugs test in the first place?
IIRC he was out shopping and he didn't "forget" the drugs test, he was completely unaware he had one to take. His main crime was not being available for a certain time slot on the off chance a random drug test was going to be performed. Hardly a damning indication of guilt and the ban was extremely harsh considering everyone else who has done the same got away with a fine. But yeah he should have been reachable and wasn't = 8 month ban, Racist abuse = 8 Game ban. Go figure.
Incorrect, in an official club statement, Ferdinand was advised he needed to make himself available for a drug test. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/3333091.stm Care to deny these claims?
That's it LF, if you can't win an arguement, resort to the name calling - It really is ****ing difficult trying to talk with you guys - I can't imagine what Football must have been like before 1992 for you guys
Not quite in the same league is it. Rio's can be attributed to simple forgetfulness or not being the brightest tool in the box and United decided to punish him harder than most offenders. But Rio still got served with a totally OTT ban whereas everyone else gets a slap on the wrist. United punished him for it and stood by him during his ban, not like liverpools pathetic bleating about "secret evidence" and continued refusal to accept the verdict.
he was even at it.. at the Southport weekender with his crew DURING the ban. They think they can get away with anything these guys. His crew shut the doors on the public toilets so he could get high... so arrogant!
FFS, he deliberately failed to take a drug test - Deliberately! And I think you'll find that whilst he was fined by Man U, he was defended by them at the same time - They said he shouldn't have received the ban, then it shouldn't have been so long and that he should still be able to captain England. Yeah OK then, let's have a captain that can't abide by the rules! Weren't you guys screaming for Terry to be stripped of the captaincy in the wake of his affair with Bridges partner? Oh teah it was! There is a reason he didn't take the test, he didn't forget, he left knowing that he had to carry out this random test - And it's amazing how you're excuse has changed from he was shopping to him being an idiot with a bad memory - Make your minds up guys!
