Can I just ask one final question what does Mike Ashley have to do for people to turn against him. Seriously worried that most people either agree or don't question his running of our club. What if we get relegated again is that acceptable for a club with our backing and fanbase basically are u prepared to let him get away with anything where do u draw the line? By the way I think the players have a good attitude and that is our best hope. manager, owner and so called chairman are hopeless why defend them I just don't get it!!!

Spot on Mike Ashley is ****, But I still think you wont finish that low as there are many teams who I believe are in more trouble and you are not one of them.

Mike Ashley is a fat knob, I may not be a Newcastle fan but I would be sad if it was to go wrong for you.
More Newcastle fans need to agree he is crap for the club.

Shut up about mike ashley... for ****s sake man, do you not think that we've realised that he's a bad man? Yes, we all dislike him for what he's done, but we move on. We are stronger than this and he's put us through more **** than this in the past and we;'ve stuck by the club. There's nothing we can do about him so you mays well just get on with supporting the lads and forget him. Your not acting like a 40+ year old with your views tbh, but I can appreciate your frustration and know where you're coming from, it just seems a bit out of the blue to pile it all on Ashley after ONE GAME. You weren't saying the same about him after the 4-4 I bet, when we were in almost exactly the same situation.

If we stay up I will be happy.

But then the worry is will Ashley learn from his mistakes and actually invest in new players.

*face palm* yes, fans realise that he's bad for the club, but it's irrelevant to the fact that we lost today.

Yeah I agree in one way with what you have to say, You really have to get on with it because you can't do anything about mike, All you will end up doing is saying the same things over and over again and that is boring.
WE have had the same problem at Gillingham with Scally, He saved us in 1995 but now we are in debt, we need investment to go futher But he won't allow anyone else in so we have a big problem with a tight owner but, we have to get on with it.
It's not good but we have to do it because all we say he won't change anything if he don't want to do so.

I was to be honest i do admit I am a pessimist always have been but I am disgusted at the way this man runs our club. Generally NUFC fans have had to put up with **** for years, we should not be run in the same manner as Wigan, Bolton etc our fanbase is massive we have so much that could be good if only we could somehow find a half decent owner. i watch the likes of Spurs and think we should be as good as them tell me why not 50,000 fans every week 45,000 in the Championship it is criminal really but yeah too late for now we just need the 2 wins somehow

Let's turn this around. What does Mike Ashley have to do in order for people like you to stop jumping on his back at every given opportunity? He's made mistakes, yes. He's completely alienated himself from the fans, yes. But the club is showing promise, he's pumped millions and millions of pounds into this club so he definitely isn't going anywhere anytime soon unless he somehow finds someone willing to spend £150-200m which, at the moment, is very very unlikely.

I may be coming across as "pro-Ashley" but I'm just trying to see this from a rational perspective... Bar Hughton-gate he's not made any mistakes in 18months that I can think of off the top of my head (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!!)

Spurs were average for ages and have the added bonus of being a London club (it makes a difference when trying to attract players).

I agree with what Ashley is doing in minimizing our running costs, it DOES make long term sense but he needs a better short-term plan if he wants to keep the fans happy. If he gives Pardew ALL the £35m transfer money to spend in the summer and we spend it all to strengthen across the pitch (not blow it on another Michael Owen 'star signing') then I'd say all is going according to plan.

Recovering from relegation is hard for any club but we bounced back, had a great start to the season and have kept a quality playing staff (except up front) whilst slashing our wagebill. Of course our comeback is not down to Ashley, probably in spite of him but financially, he's doing a good job. Supporting the team on the pitch and general PR he's still ****e but honestly, recent history and fanbase aside, we're not an attractive enough prospect at the moment to attract a genuinely good investor. We need stability and if that means a few seasons of mid-table finishes then so be it.

NUFC was a HUGE mess when Mike Ashley walked in, he messed it up a bit more but reduced our debts. So long as we stay in the top flight and keep improving our academy whilst maintaining a competitive team on the pitch, I feel we can then build on that in a few years time.

We all knew after Sir Bobby that NUFC was very much ****ed up and if we want to get back to competing in the top6 we need to be patient!

Hope your right asap. The one good thing is we have a serious lack of players but in terms of quality year we went down to know more battlers just hope it dosen't come down to last 2-3 games when anything can happen but it shouldn't have come down to this at all really I love fans but hate the way everything is taken for granted.
