Does anyone know who does the commentary for Hornets player highlights?? I have had enough of the guy mispronouncing the names of players!! He insists on pronouncing Sordell as Sordul he still cannot pronounce Kacaniklic (Canaclanic) and he calls Buaben Boaben.

    Norman Collier?
Question of the day on Saturday was how does Mike Vince get up those ladders to his commentary perch on top of that mountain of scaffolding - I am going to try to get their early one day and see!

Morning all. We seem to have done away with autumn this year. For the last few days it has been cold, wet and very windy. I suspect that there is snow on the mountains but I haven't been able to see them.

Evening all, very busy day, but looking at it just what have I done? Lots of bits and pieces around the house none of which show up a result to be pleased with.

It has been a mixture of sunshine and showers, but has felt quite chilly with the north-westerly wind. Still I mustn't complain as there are people up north having it far worse. Lille aeroport was closed and there were travel problems because of a heavy wet snowfall this morning. 120,000 homes were without power around the Calais area earlier, so hope they have been reconnected. Seeing as most of the French retire to their homes after work, pull the shutters tight and watch TV all evening, they really will be disappointed if the electricity is still off.

Morning NZ - was wondering about the weather down your way. I read a message from a FB friend who is over there at the moment (was in Christchurch over the weekend) & she was talking about having been lucky to get a flight from Wellington before the 'weather bomb hit'. Not sure what that actually meant, but it sounded bad. :(

The 'Weather bomb" was in the North Island, primarily Taranaki - gale force winds taking roofs off houses and flooding in places. Luckily there were no major injuries. We had a lesser version over the weekend which took the roof off our chicken hutch. The chooks just laid their eggs under the trees!

Your friend was indeed lucky. Wellington airport is (in)famous for its winds at the best of times. I think there are Youtube videos of planes landing sideways at Wellington because of the winds.

Evening one and all. Its been a naff day for me. I hate mondays!! First of all i was woken up at 8:30 by mother who decided that it would be a nice idea to hoover right outside my room. But, if i dare make a sound before she wakes up at the weekend, i get crucified!! Then I was expecting a text all day telling me that my tablet had arrived at the book shop on campus, but it did not come. So at 4:00 i went along to find out if it was ready to collect. They then asked me for my receipt, which i thought was in my pocket, but it turned out it had vanished! So that was a waste of a trip and i now have to go back in tomorrow or weds in order to try and get it. I had hoped to get it set up for thursday so i could use it then. But i doubt it will be done now.

Its that monday feeling H, its naff aint it.

I think it calls for one of these
