Would have thought that was risky. Any players picking up injuries and they wont have a team to field in the Championship! Not sure it would raise that much money either. Can't see any neutrals being interested!
They'd have to play it at Hamden too, can't see a sold out Nottarf Krap raising a great deal of cash!
The cost of putting this on would surely make this a non-starter. Can Pompey afford to take the team to Glasgow...and would fans pay out money for the trip. A neutral ground would suit nobody.
One mans rubbish is anothers gold. I don't like the Football Managers PC thread, so I avoid it. This seems far more.....err.....fun.
Alright for Rangers, they've nothing to play for. Pompey, despite raising finances, could risk injuring key players that they lack as it is.
Pompey are certain to go down now...This seems like a great idea for both clubs considering Ibrox holds 50,000...
Is it just me that's wondering if it's really a good idea to put disgruntled Scottish fans in the same vicinity as disgruntled English fans?
All the scarf colours are the same, so if we do plenty of, och aye the noo's, up yer crunges and eat some weird nosh we'll be fine. Frae bonnie Scootland!
I liked the idea I read about Saints and Celtic having a similar game, then burning the money raised.
.......excuse my ignorance, but what is a `crunge` ? By the way, I paid good money to see Skates v Celtic in a charity game in 1976. Bit of deja vu.
I have absolutely no idea, old bean. I heard someone say it once. There were a fair few Bhoys at that game you are talking about. Sorry about the scots writing too. I was trying to impress the other poster. On another thread.
No problem, all taken in good banter. I hope Pompey survive this mess, we need the rivalry/derby aspect in sport.
