That is good news. Pity it comes from the Mirror.

Oh I'm clutching alright, straws, sticks, thin air, I'm clutching like mad. Still, any good news is welcome from anywhere.
    Ramires is very good news.

Agreed. His finishing needs polishing up but apart from that he's probably our best midfielder by a long stretch.

Better than Essien, Lampard and Mata?

It does seem strange that he's been signed up long-term when surely a new manager could decide which players he wants?

At least it looks like there will be continuity as far as player recruitment is concerned... <whistle>

Mata plays out wide. Definitely better than Essien and Lamps.

When I saw the title of this thread "Some very good news..." I thought it was referring to 'arry saying he didn't want to manage us :smiley-finger007:

Meant a top player, not the top player. As opposition, I would worry more about him than Lampard or Essien (on current form). Mata takes a bit of watching mind.

    ramires my favourite Chelsea player.

Does the business in the big games too.

He will score a lot next season when he takes over from Lamps full-time.

We should rest him tonight and save him for the crucial Stoke and Napoli games even though Brum will give it their all in their Cup final.

I'm torn really. Napoli is the bigger game on paper but are we really going to win the C.L? Not likely. We could get through this round and (draw permitting) probably go out quarters anyway. However we get through the Brum game tonight and we are a championship side at the bridge away from being back at Wembley. Play our best team tonight.

We should play our BEST team Every game ???????? the only reason i woudn't would be if we had nothing too gain and we had a final to play the next game. Every game from now on till the end of the season is a MUST win game if we are too salvage anything this season, imo the way the spuds are colapsing at the mo i think even third spots up for grabs and not out of our reach
