SPL Statement The SPL Board has instructed an investigation into the alleged non-disclosure to the SPL of payments made by or on behalf of Rangers FC to players since 1 July 1998. The club secretary would know. It's his job to administrate club affairs. That'd be Campbell Ogilvie. Hugh Adam seems to have known a bit about them and he has suggested the rest of the directors at best acquiesced in relation to the double contract stylee of RFC.
We know Martin Bain had an EBT, maybe he had TWO contracts so what are the odds on Ogilvie (the man who apparently sold Rangers on the idea of EBTs) having one too (and TWO contracts)? Pretty slim i'd hazard.
Quite unimaginable that ogilvie or bain, for example , would similarly have their noses in the trough ; they couldnt possibly have known about this, otherwise they would surely have reported it to the relevant football authorities which they - by lucky coincidence - were working for. Anyway, anyone can make an honest mistake.
Rangers got ahead of themselves, they believed all the **** in the Scottish media. They believed they were the saviour of Scottish football. They thought they were God.
