    As mentioned, these people are thankfully a minority, and I'm sure some Sunderland fans are just as disgusted as we are.

    Shame some of your lot were taking the piss out of the likes of Speed and Sir Bobby, chanting about how they are dead.

    Mackems were trying to push some police/ stewards down the stairs as well.

    The thing with all of this is that we should emphasise the "some" in "some of your lot".

    Every club has a number of knackers in their support, Newcastle and Sunderland included.

    This whole calling eachother "scum" and "inbred" etc... well, it's just pathetic isn't it?

    Fair enough there is banter, but "some" of these people genuinely do mean it. It's ****ing archaic man.

    NEWCASTLE United today praised the behaviour of supporters in the ground at yesterday’s derby clash with Sunderland.

    It said reports of significant damage to the seats and concourse of the away area at St James’s Park are inaccurate.

    Only one seat was damaged in the stadium and a small number of ceiling tiles broken in the toilets.

    The club’s head of security Steve Storey said: “With the exception of a very small number of incidents, fans from both clubs throughout the stadium were very well behaved before, during and after the game.

    “The level of damage in the away area was low even for a regular fixture, let alone a highly charged derby match.

    “I commend the behaviour of all supporters at the game yesterday, including the vast majority of the 2,650 Sunderland fans, who showed respect for the away area of the ground.”

    Didn't hear any of the singing about Speed and Sir Bobby so can't say owt about that but ha'way, have you ever been in a police escort? Police are pushing you from the back, whilst police push you from the front and there's nowhere to go. Think you need to get your facts right before spreading ****e.

    Every club has its set of idiot fans, and when thousands travel especially to a local derby there is always going to be a little bit of trouble by sheer law of averages. Smearing **** on the walls is just filth but a minority did this, most were pretty well behaved, time some of our fans get off their high horses really.

    It is a necessity once the derbies are over and bragging rights decided, that you take the piss in the immediate aftermath. Particularly when there is so much to debate. I'm sure you'll do the same if you gain the upper hand in the future. I seem to remember dogs abuse from my mackem mates after any derby win let alone seasons bragging rights. You're taking my comments way too seriously.

    but in all serious , and has has been mentioned... yes every club has its idiots, I doubt any majority of the their fans condone this activity.
