Reet there has been loads of backlash from the skunks about what happened at their once illustrious named stadium.. How-ever...there is this...........................sure they will find other reports of friends of friends etc... NEWCASTLE United today praised the behaviour of supporters in the ground at yesterdayâs derby clash with Sunderland. It said reports of significant damage to the seats and concourse of the away area at St Jamesâs Park are inaccurate. Only one seat was damaged in the stadium and a small number of ceiling tiles broken in the toilets. The clubâs head of security Steve Storey said: âWith the exception of a very small number of incidents, fans from both clubs throughout the stadium were very well behaved before, during and after the game. âThe level of damage in the away area was low even for a regular fixture, let alone a highly charged derby match. âI commend the behaviour of all supporters at the game yesterday, including the vast majority of the 2,650 Sunderland fans, who showed respect for the away area of the ground.â http://www.shieldsgazette.com/news/...praise-behaviour-of-sunderland-fans-1-4313403
Exactly...I dare bet there is far more damage done when the mags visit the SoL but it just doesn't get made public..
I have but the press officer chose not to discuss the faeces being chucked about. At the time the statement was released they were working on the theory that some monkeys must have escaped from Edinburgh Zoo and made their way down to Newcastle to see their friend (not realising Peter Reid was no longer in charge) The press officer had not even considered that humans would behave in such a manner until it was explained to him about the behavioural problems with the unwashed inbreds down the road.
I don't need to dream. I have fond memories of Sunderland winning a major trophy...As for Newcastle? Can't remember you winning **** all.
Take the small wins Davey, its all you get from us afterall. I love the derbies. Guaranteed 4-6 points every season. You lads must ****ing hate that.
