I saw this on his twitter page which made me laugh. https://twitter.com/#!/StuartAttwell/status/174525466521239553
That's what my Leeds fan friend from uni (he's actually from Leeds... not a glory supporter from East Yorkshire) said. In his words if we play Dawson, we're "f**ked". Normally I wouldn't agree with him but I do. This is Dudgeon's chance to shine IMO. Put him in from the start
After the Crawley game I promised myself I'd never go to another Stuart Atwell game again, but I may possibly just make an exception this once and give him one last chance. My reason for not going was fairly legit, it was to ensure I could continue my support forever more, as I'm not sure I could manage another 90 minutes of keeping the contents of my wallet in my wallet and not homing in on that ****s head.
I watched Leeds the other night and we haven't got a chance if they are allowed to play the same way, they knocked Southampton all over the place. I think our younguns won't cope with them the way Soton did and this ref is too incompetent to give the right decisions.
Daft question but my friend who is a Sheff Utd. fan (yeah there's a lot of different footy fans in my uni group) brought up a fair point. Have Leeds actually won under Colin? Not to my knowledge
Whoever assigns these refs are actually clueless. The stupidest weakest minded clueless power crazy **** of a referee in English football at the moment assigned to a game that's got dirty and difficult to ref written all over it, it's absolutely outrageous. Whoevers decision it was should be shot in front of their family, along with Atwell and Mike Riley.
Thats a bit much. "Its only a game" but whats' his family got to do with it ? They like him to be a ref because he gets called alsorts of names by thousands of people that they daren't call him.
ATTWELL has just been relegated from the PL list and is ideal for the game with TWS. from memory he always goes with the teams playing TWS ? to blame Attwell for the Crawley defeat is a bit churlish. its gonna be a fun game both on and off the pitch me thinks.
Nobody blamed him for the Crawley defeat, everyone has just said he was **** in that game, which he was.
On the, Other games today thread started on the 25/02/12 i mentioned Warnock and said, "He was also praising Stuart Attwell in his column, in the Independent, he isnt reffing against us by any chance is he?" Could he have known that even then? Slippery fuker that he is. Cos he was really praising him. Very worrying.
This is what I mean. In terms of their play on the ball they're a footballing side but it's when they don't have the ball that they get nasty.
No he couldn't have known then that he'd be the ref for a specific game. But it doesn't take a genius to work out that when a ref with PL experiance is made available for Football League games for the foreseeable future, when there's big top of the table games or derby games, the ref in question is likely to be given them due to their experiance so it was inevitable Leeds would get him at some point soon because of their playoff aims.
Yes, we won 3-2 against Doncaster. Warnock wasn't officially in charge, but he seems to have had a say in the team selection, gave the half-time team talk and phoned our caretaker manager with instructions throughout the game, so he was our manager in all but name.
Pretty sure that twitter account is fake. I doubt referees are allowed to have twitter? Plus he is asked where he is at the weekend, surely he should know he is reffing tomorrow night first?
His conversations with the Hereford local media seem pretty legit though don't they? Surely a local paper covering the game would ensure the account was real before communicating with him?
