Rosy was my man of the match he was absolutely immense, goalkeeper totally at fault for the first goal but made up for it with some solid saves throughout. Barmby is ****ing amazing, he makes a massive difference every time he comes on and him and Fryatt link up very well Norwich should have had a penalty, harper was useless and a draw was just about a fair result but they looked better in spells and caused us a lot of issues at time.
Rosenior was a threat throughout but I'm not sure why in the last few weeks we've abandoned our width. When we have the ball there are often very few options for passes, with 5-6 players clustered in the middle and no one out wide. Rosenior does the best he can to push forwards but Dawson doesn't have the pace to do so effectively, and even with Rosenior there are countless times he's looking for someone ahead of him to pass to and seeing no one, leaving him having to either cut inside or take on both their wide midfielder and fullback to get a cross in. I find it no coincidence that the team lifts up and plays better when Nigel switches things round like today in the closing stages - with Amoo down the right and Koren/Belaid both getting wide on the left we were able to stretch Norwich more, have more people to pass to and get players into more dangerous positions. The start of the match with Chester, Koren, Evans and Harper all grouped in the middle was pretty dire... very little in the way of creative play. Once Barmby, Amoo and Belaid were on and our shape changed we were much more dangerous. I can understand him keeping things tight away from home but when we're at home it kills the atmosphere and we look flat. Belaid and others might still be adjusting to the game here but they show creativity and with the likes of him and Koren combined with Barmby's movement and Fryatt's drive we look like winning matches. With half of them on the bench and a defensive narrow formation we just pass it sideways and backwards until someone hoofs it and we lose the ball. 8 games to go and the teams above us are slipping up... we have to go for it now. Draws aren't enough, we have to play for wins.
Those scores are all over the place. Rosenior definitely deserves to score highest, but Barmby won us the game and is only on 5.8 and Dawson had his worst game for a while and has 6.7? Harper doesn't really deserve a 1.00, he was utterly appalling, Amoo doesn't look like he's ever played football before either..... Overall a decent game to watch, Norwich bought a lot of decisions and don't look anywhere near good enough to be second in the league, we really should have won(Guzan should be scoring lower for that terrible flap for their goal).
because some seriously sad sad little man keeps deliberately posting extreme scores to mess it up who ever it is get a ****ing grip of your life
