Racing today comes from Hereford and Lingfield.

Rough old day here, but thought the lightweight Alpha Way might take some running down at a nice price.

    HEREFORD.
    16:45 Alpha Way. cyc.

    LINGFIELD.

Key thing today is for everyone to get on Hurricane Fly at 5/4 with Bill Hills. You then can add Bino/Zark into your bet as a saver and get a nice insurance for the big race.

I can't see the price lasting long!

Can't say I have any interest in racing prior to Saturday but, as a snippet of completely useless information, it could be this Lingfield meeting two years ago that produced a placepot payout of £1.80, making correctly predicting a horse in each of the first six races a 4/5 shot <yikes>

Great racehorse Nass, but 5-4 a couple of weeks out is pretty short. He seems to have the wood on them and on the day will be in the red and will probably win with a leg in the air, but too short for the likes of me.

    Cyc,

Firstly its non runner no bet, so the not turning up route is covered. As for the price, you are getting 5/4 about a horse who has been trading odds on for ages (even when full antepost prices), its brilliant value and one of the best prices I have seen for ages.

Yes. I've heard max £100 but there are plenty only being allowed £10!

    Hardly surprising though really.

Lost all credibility for me then.
At least when Corals did their enhanced prices on selected horses leading up to 2010 festival it was unlimited - sadly they let me have bundles on Dunguib....

    That's crap!

What's the better offer? Paddy Power's Arkle offer or Will Hill's Champion Hurdle offer?

We know Grizzly's feeling let down, so am I. If you're only being allowed a tenner on I'd be shutting my account.... if i had one with them.

Mate, I'm just saddened by the way bookmakers have changed over the years, limiting their exposure to a max payout of £125 is laughable, I'm glad I never saw any major advertising for this 'offer'...

I opened an online account with hills just to back The Fly and got £50 on no problem,so can't see why they'd only let people have tenner on

If you're a winning punter Stuk, they'll limit their exposure to your bets.

Exactly Grizz, can you imagine getting all giddy about your banker bet of the festival and only being allowed a to bet a small percentage of it. To only offer £10 is a joke but I suppose they are a dreadful bookies for a reason.
