Loved him as a player, but never dreamed he'd ever arrive in the hot seat--albeit temporarily! Lets hope he does himself proud and even if he has to stand down at the end of the season--he gets the boys battling for every result to come!! We're praying for you Robbie!!
Let's hope these muppets show some respect to Robby. He's a gentleman, and a highly respected ex Chelsea player who conducts himself with dignity at all times. If the lads continue to cut up rough and undermine Robby,if he also decides to sit them on the bench, then I doubt they will have a supporter in the Club. Time to grow up, shut up and put up.
I like Di Matteo, but i don't think he's PL quality as a manager. He should leave now, before the media turn against him too.
The media, the usual suspect players, and RA. They usually come as a triple act for our managers eventually. Just hope them up there are not expecting to win the CL and sneak 3rd or 4th PL spot. Wouldn't surprise me. Hope Robby's on a vastly improved salary to ease the ********** that's about to rain down on him.
CFCTEL--The sports media are made up of individuals who like the rest of us have their bias. They all have clubs they support and when they're writing about them can do no wrong-and ones they strongly dislike and let us all know about! There was a time when they were even handed and just reported the facts! I'm afraid the Sun changed all that--and we're now just a coconut shy! Lets hope Robbie for all the right reasons--produces something that sticks in their throats!
Strange isn't it Blueman, that many ,if not most ,fans on this site think AVB was shafted by "the lads, RA, the Press, and the Officials (BB and G ). The press I can understand, especially Murdochs' mob ( pleased to say he's no longer an Aussie, but a Septic) Buck and Gourley I can understand because they, like the "lads " are on the gravy train. The "lads" we all understand. But why on earth RA ???? Does he get off on humiliating people with more football knowledge than him ?? Does he get off on being able to trash people and not care ?? Does he he like to show how powerful his wealth has made him ?? All of the above ?? Hell of a way to try and win anything, especially the CL which is allegedly his "reason d'être ". He even hired managers with CL credentials and treated them the same way. Christ , for half his investment we could have a team right at the top of the World tree if it had been done properly. And enough left over to build 4 or 5 Childrens Hospitals. One weird dude ,for mine, and very difficult to like.
I guess for people who have supported Chelsea for more than 10 minutes, who can remember the lows of the 70/80's etc can turn a blind eye to the man mainly responsible for giving us 3 titles and champions league football. Yes he is trigger happy but most thought that when he sacked Ranieri. He brought in Jose and then look what happened. Same when he sacked Big Phil early on. Brought in Hiddink and we won the FA Cup and nearly the C.L.
Having just seen Blues News on CTV, I am feeling a little bit more comfortable now knowing that Eddie Newton is back as Robbie's assistant! The squad all looked busy and keen in training and they seemed to be up for the battle against Birmingham tomorrow! Go Robbie Go!!!
From what ive read the players hate RDM just as much as they hated AVB. I seriously hope the players get behind him and give him 110% every game for the rest of the season. If any players causes sh*t they should be named and shamed to the fans and then gotten rid of at the end of the season.
Lefin--They looked fine with him and Eddie today! I think the "plotters" know they cant step out of line now anyway! I think the ones involved know they've got to Put Up and Shut Up!
He got on with AVB as well, Drogs! There are 2/3 core players who have to fall in line behind Robbie -or go! Robbie should not fall into the trap of guaranteeing a place in the team for ANYBODY!
