lol. Actually very funny. Well played Not true obviously. But it made me laugh I dont think RVP is the slapper in the corner do you? World class mate. You should try it some time
Its over now mate. The weekend is over. We came, we saw, we conquered. We have the 3 points. Game over. Good luck the rest of the year (ok I dont mean that ) C ya
People use to say LFC rode on the back of A world class player & punched above their weight: look what happened to us. One bad tackle or pinging hamstring & Arsenals seasons over. Even if the miraculous happens & RVP has finally got over his injury problems & you squeak into 4th spot, he'll be away in the summer, Arsene will find a new bunch of 12 year olds to get ready for barca and you'll be looking to the future once more....
Well be sure to pop over to THE arsenal board when we lose in the league this year. That way I will be sure to not have to engage with you scousers for the rest of the season on here (yes I doubt we will lose in the league again this year). C ya mate. Good luck in the champions league midweek
Yes, as usual with you, you come in all guns blazing, but eventually come round and start talking sense, I applaud you. Well done.
@DirtyFrank Obvioulsy no one can be sure which players want to leave their current club and come to us but I think there's a fair few players that would be an improvement on those attacking players that are definitely attainable. Instead of Carrolll there's people like Guiseppe Rossi, Lukas Podolski, Demba Ba and Falcao who all play for clubs that are smaller than Liverpool and will probably look for a move in the summer. Downing on the left? Someone like Dempsey would be an improvement on him currently. I like Santi Cazorla from Malaga too. Adam? Cabaye cost less and has shown how to play the playmaker role well in the PL. Gokhan Inler is also very good in that role for Napoli, if he wants to leave them. Henderson could be improved on too as a RM/RW, tho I'm not sure who with off the top of my head. JH has bif potential but isnt a great RM/RW currently.
Eh? When did I come in all guns blazing on this one? Thought my first post on this topic was quite mild & positive...
Not being funny, but can you imagine the board room at Madrid or Inter. Number 3, Inter Milan will play numer 7 Arsenal. ****in result.......Good as a bye.
Lucaaas; I think that's my worry; I agree with most of the individual comparisons you make, but let's say there was the will on the part of Kenny & the owners to say "yip, we gambled & lost: and now we're buying replacements" (from your list) It would still mean starting yet another season with wholesale changes to the first choice 11, with the same risks that players that seemed to play brilliantly for other smaller clubs suddenly appear lost at ours, or don't gel. On top of that: even if I agreed that all the players being replaced were mediocre, we're not going to offload them all so we end up with the same type of large squad of players collecting money for nothing we had two years ago. I honestly think there's a bit more gelling to be done with the newbies. Which if true would add another 15-18 points onto this years tally (chances converted)Meaning we'd be competing for 4th spot again next year. Now if we manage to nab a truly world class striker or attacking midfielder/winger in the summer who will add another 10 points a season to our tally & comfortably see us into top 4 great: add another the year after that & we're challenging for the title & later stages of the champions league. Need to be very accurate & patient in the market. By all means at the end of next year if any of this crop fail to improve; out they go, at a loss if needs be. We do need to generate a ruthless winning mentality at our club again.
Way too many passengers in this team, Adam, Carrol and to a lesser extent Downing and Kuyt, these guys have to be improved upon or we will be alsoruns for years tocome. If Dalglish doesn't agree replace him an all. Even if we finished wity 2 trophies id like to see another maanger come in, one that can recognise talent ! I dont want to tune in for the 1st game of the season to see we spent 35m on Shola Ameobi !
