Anyone know any decent pubs/clubs in Hull that stay open past midnight on sunday?

Today is the Lord's Day. How dare you imbibe alcohol.

Just buy some cans and sit near the pond in Pearson Park.

You might even meet Erik if you go between 1AM and 2AM. He's the one with the carrier bag tucked under his arm.

I heard there was a Fatwa out on those who booze in Pearson's Park on a Sunday. Or maybe I'm getting mixed up, anyway just try it and see what happens.

I don't know, but I was wondering this myself.

Unless I've booked a holiday, I'm always at work bright and early on a Monday, so Sunday night drinking is never an option.

I have been thinking though, of booking a Monday off, having a Sunday afternoon in pub to watch the football and then making a night of it.

I would think somewhere in town must stay open. Sugar Mill? King Billy? Propaganda? Pozition?

    We need some firm answers.

If you're thinking of going in Propoganda you may as well try Pearson Park.

The end result could very well be the same.

If you mean legally, I'd guess at Piper and/or Fusion, possibly Welly?

Fusion yes, good call. Always open late on a Sunday.

I think it's one of their busier nights in fact.

I think piper shuts 12.30, dont think welly stays open. Most likely star & garter would be open. Same as Party Hull, don't get to do it often but would be nice to have the option.

I'll research the Fusion call. <ok>

Did vickey's coffee club burn down?

It did, in Jan 2010, though I think it was already shut by then(I haven't actually been since 1981)

Late night drinking on a Sunday is akin to asking for a beef curry in an Indian.

I live in the West Riding. Me, my bag and I lurk around Leeds and Bradford these days.

Me and my brother were chatting about nightspots just today in fact.

Trying to work out where actually is a decent place to go these days. I used to go Spiders a lot, but it's full of young 'uns (I mean REALLY young), used to go Piper but, in honesty, it's ****. Not been Sugar Mill for ages, apparently doesn't get busy anymore. Spent £16 on four bottles of ****ty beer in there once!

I've heard recently that Pozition is a little bit of a nasty place these days, a lot of young lads who can't handle their beer looking for trouble.

Not keen on Welly either, the carpets proper stink in there and, for some reason, it's always cold. Plus a lot of pillheads, who do my nut in.

I think most people head to the gay pubs these days, they stay open late and don't have an intimidating atmosphere (violence-wise anyway!).

Not too sure why I'd wanna be out nightclubbing anyway, after a few pints nowadays I find that midnight-ish, I'm ready to hit the hay. Need to sort it out!

I wondered where you had got to and I can safely say it just isn't the same without you there.

Percy and Cecil have particularly missed you.

No kidding, I started drinking at 19 and nobody ever suggested going there because the rest of them had grown out of wanting to go there. (I never had a wanting to go there phase to grow out of)
