Anyway, I'm off to watch a bit of the Real game if it hasn't finished yet. I'll leave you girls to argue over whether Rafa should be the next manager of Chelsea.

Discrace really, internet and Sky TV, paid for by the taxpayer. It's more of a holiday these days than a punishment.

Back on topic, players with an ego create a clicky dressing room, it's like a poison, that will eventually destroy the club. Time to give the boot to the likes of Cole, Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Cech etc. Bunch of big time Charlie's - Thanks for all you have done, cheerio. New manager, new players.

That's my view on it anyway, without team sprit, you have nothing, thankfully my team has it in abundance.

Fair play, good point. When an honest man loses his job because of an egotistical player(s) I would hang them by thier balls.

    You rate Hodgson very highly.

I bet that would change in the blink of an eye if he was named as Fergie's successor.

I guess it's human nature to an extent. Bet the Cole's and Terry's would not try any of there **** if Fergie was in charge. Hence the need for a strong personality.

Apparently Cech has a large influence in the dressing room which I find odd.

He doesn't come across as a strong character.

I rate him as a competent manager and think he's at the right club at the minute. I met him soon after he took over at Fulham and he somehow kept them in the Premier League. I was astonished about how non-plussed he was about football ("I can take it or leave it") and his lack of confidence in Fulham staying up despite their seemingly hopeless position ("I can't see it happening") but he was also a decent man and his time at Liverpool was a shambles. He had no money to spend and no support from the management or players and was ultimately hung out to dry. Dalglish has spent a stupid amount of money on crap players and, understandably, is being given a lot more leeway than Hodgson ever was. Ultimately though I think everyone has got what they wanted. Hodgson is back to doing what he does best ie taking teams like West Brom up to levels that they appreciate and Liverpool are about to turn a corner (whilst looking over their shoulder at West Brom).

Yes, he seems like a proper git. A liitle smooth and slimy, not a bad keeper, but if it was my job, my first task would be to give him the boot.

I wrote an article way back when AVB started as Chelsea manager suggesting that Torres was the key to AVB's career at Chelsea and IMO it has worked out that way.

    http://www.not606.com/content.php/978-Fernando-José-Torres-Sanz

A fully fit and confident Torres would have made all the difference to results.

What next is the big question, will Abramovich look to throw money at the problem again or bring in a young manager with a long term plan (Again)?

I thought it was a good original post from B4F and a good talking point, why not keep it that way?

It's a myth that Dalglish has wasted money, the net spend is a million, the league position is misleading, we have had lots of bad luck and have been excellent in both cups.

Fact is Dalglish is a LFC legend, all he did as a player and as a manager(first time round) gives him the freedom of Liverpool. He could get us relegated and would still be a legend in my eyes.

He needs more time, far to early to judge him, why should we finish above Man city, United, Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea who have all had a lot longer to build there squads. We will know a lot more of how well Kenny has done at the end of next season. We need to think big and get it right in the summer transfer market, we have a strong base to build on and must push on, the fans deserve it.

He might be a lovely chap etc,and yes he did have money to spend even though you said he did'nt(Poulsen,Miereles,The Greek Soto,Cole),he was disliked by the support that were prepared to give him a chance because he kept schtum after his buddy SAF slagged us off before and after the game at OT,he always found positives in defeat which really alienated himself from us with him telling us it was a good result when we got beat by Everton as we were the better side.
Theres a lot more that could be said about him but his bs about KD was laughable because Kenny was already working for LFC before Hodgson's appointment and had every right to apply for the job when Hodgson got his P45.
