Plenty of yellow and red cards handed ou today by a poor ref.!!Why did he book so many players for poor first tackles,on both teams,and yet let Tiote away with four tackles that were all bookable offences.When he finally booked Tiote,he showed the cheating **** five fingers,indicating that he had got away with at least four fouls before???A poor performance for a poor ref!!!
Why should he have been off? Made one bad tackle at the start of the game? Simpson made numerous bad tackles before the incident with McLean. You could argue he was lucky stil to be on Personally, I thought the ref was poor booking Cattermole so Early as set the tone for the entire game
It was a shocking challenge. Cattermole thought if he got one in early, he'd be let off. Referee did well to book him, should have been red though.
Thought dean had a canny game apart from letting gayboy tiote get away with too many fouls before booking him. I never appealed for a penna when we got it. he rightly gave it. Mclean & simpson both rightly booked (altho Simpson raised his hands). just different opinions thats all.
Thought the first two tackles weren't even yellow worthy, so this is a strange thing to be pissed at like. Why all the hate for Tiote? Surely you should all be celebrating the fact you have a manager who has you well organised and an occasional threat with shocking forward players (bet you first transfers next season are a striker and a right winger), or else bemoaning Sausage-boy's rashness...?
Sorry, have to disagree, thought it was an excellent performance from the ref it in a nightmare game. I agree Tiote could have been booked earlier and then sent off but Catts could have been off in the first minute. On balance he reffed the game very well, don't forget our penalty, the ref showed incredible courage to give that away from home in a derby of that intensity
Personally, I think the ref failed to get on top of the situation, and was reactive rather than proactive. That shouldn't make any difference to a ref in control.
Sorry mate I don't agree. I think the.ref could have let it go for he sake of the game. A tad late yes but nothing too bad about it I've seen a lot worse challenges (bardsley on colo first game and cabaye on bardsley in the corner same game)
Disagree mate, for me when I saw it I thought "its a derby let it go" but on the replay Catts yellow card was a defo yellow card (never a red which Waddle was calling for). If he'd let Catts tackle go it cudov been chaos tryin 2officiate that game if thats not a booking.
