Harry is a good manager but seriously the guy would crumble at international level. Defensively his teams have never been good and at international level you pay for that kind of naive management. Yes spurs are having a good season by their standards but I'm not convinced Harry is the right man for the job.
No Bale, no VDV and no Parker. That'd be like Utd playing with no Vidic, no Fletcher and no Valencia. Oh hang on...
Good to see Spurs being the subject of a thread on the Chavs (and Goons) board. Just a pity that it is a pretty lame attempt to distract attention from the latest shambolic day in the recent history of your disfunctional club. Hope you get on better with your new manager. At least you already know something about him - just in case he gets the boot too soon!! Suggest you start planning to keep Thursdays free....
Yep,3 recent titles,fa cups, league cups have really caused all sorts of shambolic times. Thank god we have Spuds to look up at....although the way you're falling it won't be for long.Bottlers.
Interesting original article in that it so far from the truth only an idiot could write it. Spurs were without 3 key players today, VdV, Parker and Bale so to suggest that they are reliant on just one player is, quite frankly, ridiculous. Also interesting is that this article is linked to the goon board - the goons being a side that are proven to be reliant on a single player. However at least Spurs and AFC have players that are important to them unlike CFC who are the original no man (ager) team.
Last season they both got a total of eight goals plus assists in the PL, despite Fletcher playing most of the season with a debilitating medical condition. http://www.myfootballfacts.com/Premier_League_Combined_2010-11.html In fact, I believe you've just made the classic Liverpool mistake of confusing pretty looking football with actually having an impact on games...but don't worry, your manager does the same
One day spud fans will have enough football knowledge to realise that apart from modric, VdV is easily their best player. Good enough to play in the first team for any club in the league imo. Fantastic talent. The spuds prefer their overhyped english clowns (walker, parker, arry) though. Edit: I suspect they wont realise how good VdV is untill about 6 months after he leaves. Poor spuds.
spurs directness of Bale and VDV were sorely missed ! no cutting edge .. which says it all me thinks .. top side but who can afford to miss these players ? no other team in the prem thats for sure ! as Harry wud put it !
I don't recall Harry ever having enough funds to put a really good team together. Certainly not at Spurs . If he did, and got some decent defenders, he might be well good enough for International level. After all, he doesn't put the boots on himself, just tells them what to do.
Let the spuds enjoy their day in the sun. With no 'Arry or Adebayor (minimum) next year lets see how they fare. I guess they might get Jose
