    tiote the
most devios player in the league attacks people from behind , stamps on players after the ball has gone, but isnt man enogh to stand up after a player hits him in the chest afgter he has punched him in the head from behind.

At least the SUNDERLAND players can stan up and be counted not like the whimps from Newcastle

This is a mans game not a game for actors and divers.

YOU ARE BECOMING LIKE ARSENAL FULL OFF FRENCH PEOPLE WHO DIVE

Yep at least after the game your 9 remaining players could all stand up and be counted, credit to football.

Well, actually Tioté is Ivorian, but don't let that put you off your self-righteous, posturing rant.

Cattermole's dirty tackle in the first minute set the tone for what was to be a rough game, so get off your high horse.

    Honestly mate.
The day you get your seventh English league title I may agree. Till then...There ain't a cloud in the proverbial sky for SAFC.

Or here we go with the pre World War I history lesson. The day your teams scored more goals than Shola himself has in europe then I may agree...

    Oh only recent history counts?
Well we have out finished you in the last three seasons. We still have a cup to go for (that's not just recent. It's current) How are we in your shadow?
    Once again, you fail.
    Still unbeaten at the SDA.

at least cattermole was man enough to take the man from the front nogt from behind.
he had some bad tackles against him but as usual nothing happened .

I think that you are happy with a draw as you were second best till the sending off.

The first foul was on Sess and he retaliated and was wron yes !!!

<laugh> God no. I'd just like one reason, just one why we are in Newcastle's shadow. And if we are why are you so supposedly happy at not beating us with a man advantage?

A BIT LONG BUT WORTH THE READ

I'll give you more than one reason why you are in our shadow, let's just forget about the stories your Grandad has told you and base this on recent history. i.e. what is known as the modern era, The Premier League Years

The Overall table looks like this
please log in to view this image

But that in itself is a little too far back into history so why not say the Last 10 Years

Still too far into history, OK then why don't we do the last 2 seasons

In recent history we've both won nowt but still had relative success in other areas so here's that too.

Newcastle in the last 20 Years
    2 second placed finishes
    2 third placed finishes
    1 fourth placed finish
    1 fifth placed finishe
    1 sixth placed finishe
    1 seventh placed finish
    ONLY 1 RELEGATION
    2 FA Cup Final Appearences
1 CL 2nd Group Phase Appearence
1 CL 1st Group Phase Appearence
1 CL 3rd Qualifying Round Appearence
    1 UEFA Cup Semi-Final Appearence
    2 UEFA Cup Quarter-Final Appearences

Sunderland in the Last 20 Years
    2 seventh placed finshes
    1 tenth placed finish
    3 RELAGATIONS
    1 FA FINAL Appearence
    0 CL Appearences
    0 UEFA Cup Appearences

There's no doubt that Sunderland are NOW are almost on a level playing field with Newcastle which is why a result like today is seen as good. Couple this with the fact we've now took 4 points off Sunderland in each of the last 2 seasons, we are more happy that we've only lost once in the last 15 meeting and that Sunderland haven't beaten us at home in 12 years.

I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot I'd be shouting all the stuff you are but the above post goes pretty much all the way in giving you a good reason why Sunderland are in Newcastle's shadow.

Just thought I'd mention that we have 10 domestic major honours to Sunderland's 8 but let's be fair the last trophy either us won is hardly worth bragging about it was nearly 40 years ago. The fact remains that most Sunderland fans haven't even seen relative success. At least as a 24 year old Newcastle United fan, I can claim some sort of success, something a 39 year old Sunderland fan can only dream about!
