Another thick as **** crisp muncher, Do you know what a yo-yo is, just remind me how many times we've been relegated from the Championship to League 1? I guess Yo-Yo's are different in the back of beyond!

    Very proud thank you!

If players want to leave so be it. Rather have players who want to play for the club than a bunch of average Championship mercenaries!

Bates up to his old tricks of sacking Managers after the transfer window closes so the incoming one can't spend any money.

    Cheap Leeds.

Leicester City's highest ever post war finish- 4th in 1963. What a joke of a club.
Little old Leicester, no success, no tradition, a nothing club.

Look, if we're going to have an argument with Leeds about who has a better history, then it's a bit like arguing with Brad Pitt about who's got the best looking wife - there's only going to be one winner. If we're talking about potential, then I guess the truthful answer is that nobody knows. We can speculate all we want but we know that (forgive the cliché) Football is very unpredictable and anything can happen.

With our current owners and management, I think our long term future is quite bright. Were the owners to leave, well, it doesn't bear thinking about. But, thankfully, all the signs are that they are here to stay. With Ken Bates, it does make it harder for Leeds to get back to how they used to be. I think Warnock is a good manager and gives Leeds a good chance of getting up.

People have used teams like Spurs as examples of how teams can rise from mid-table to flirting with the title (although they had finished 5th the three seasons before). But I think people have overlooked one thing in that rise - the manager. Harry Redknapp has been the key in that rise and if teams have a quality manager then that can make the biggest difference. If/when Harry leaves Spurs, they could easily fall back into the also rans. Chelsea were challenging for title with Ancelotti and are struggling for top four with AVB despite them having money to spend in both circumstances. It's unlikely though that you can get sustained success at the highest level without sustained investment - arguably the difference between Man Utd and Arsenal in recent years after being so close before. However, it's not about how much you spend, it's about how well you spend it.

Look at how well Pardew has done at Newcastle. Lambert has made a massive differnce to Norwich. If Leeds get the right manager and owners, who knows how far they could go? If Leicester get the right manager and owners (we might already have them), who knows how far we could go? Nobody.

Go on then, what does having Warnock as manager "say".

And do you never fondly think back to your minor past successes? I suggest you're a bit of a weirdo if you don't, to be honest. Nostalgia is a fantastic part of life and football. Free yourself and be happy. <ok>

You can suggest what you like sunshine, weirdo? coming from a a leeds fan I take it as a compliment... the hard truth is nostalgia ain't what it used to be..keep living in the past, Miss Haversham...... .ref: great expectations... very sad and very tragic...the once "mighty" leeds...

What's the point of winning trophies if you can't look back on your achievements in the future? What's the point of this great future you're supposedly going to have if you won't be willing to look back on it in a few years time?

Quite right - but the only reservation I would make is that nostalgia can sometimes supress the **** aspects as we tend to only recall the good bits ..

I believe that Leicester can one day win the top flight, lets face it Derby and Forrest have both already done it on several occasions. So I don't know whats been stopping Leicester becoming the third biggest club in the midlands by winning it once

    As for our current chances.

Leicester have had access to big signings underpinned by the large debts that are now owed to KP, time will tell if KP are happy to continue the support, but signs are that they might be looking at moving on some your biggest earners (e.g. Mills) :emoticon-0164-cash:

Leeds have had limited signings and have had to unearth any new talent, this has led to no visible debts (but will we ever know?).
The squad has good players and some poor journeymen. We have potential to get promoted or relegated and we are constantly undermined by Bates :frown:

For my money, we will still be playing each other in the Championship for the next few seasons.
