    Oh dear, oh dear...

Awful game, I want to poke my own eyes out

I feel for you having to watch that every week, fans looking forward to a throw in #JohnBeckStyle

we were shocking today granted, but I nearly lost my love of football watching you lot today #PainFull

not at all we were clueless going forward today, but I honestly wouldn't pay my own money to watch Stoke play, just saying

I'm not knocking Stoke, do what you got to do, toughest place to get points outside top 4, but I wouldn't pay to watch it

I do agree with him, I mean we'd all much prefer to watch our side pass it sidewards all game, not threatening the goal than getting the ball forward, putting the opposition under pressure and trying to score. I mean who wants to see their team score? Football is all about possession after all, not goals.

What a hypocrite Huckerby is. I remember the Coventry side he played in under Strachan with him and Dublin up front. They were often very direct and it worked for them for a little while. Plus, it's not like Norwich played like Spurs yesterday was it? They played more aimless hoofs than we did.

I actually thought we played a lot more stuff on the deck yesterday. Who cares what they think though? That's Premier League safety sorted for another season. Onto Chelsea next week and we've definitely got a chance if we approach it in the right manner, with Chelsea and AVB under massive pressure.

    Up the Potters!

Sarge it's same old, same old mate sour grapes from anyone that Stoke beat. Because we don't play attractive football they always look for an excuse as to why we won. The ref, rugby tactics, long throws, hoofball blah blah blah.
Nothing at all to do with the fact that every player out there ran their hearts out and closed them down stopping them from playing and getting a foot hold on the game. I love it though because they are whinging because the rugby side beat them!

Plus as every honest Stoke fan will admit on here. we have been really poor this season compared to the other seasons in the prem and yet we are lying in 8th place one win behind a so called top 6 side Liverpool with the millions they have spent. Still in the FA Cup and got to the knockout stages of the Europa League. Good job we were not playing well otherwise we would have been looking at Champions League football next season!

Agreed Waddo. I'd rather see my team be as committed as they were yesterday than be like the shameful Spanish sides and sadly most of the Premier League. We got the ball forward yes, but once in the opposition's half, we played decent football. The football which led to Deano's chance in the first half was delightful.

Agreed. To think, the overrated Downing cost them upwards of £20m and he hasn't got a Premier League goal or an assist. Having no assists as a winger by March after playing the amount of games he has, is really diabolical. Matty has been largely poor this season but even he has managed to chip in with several assists and 3 goals. £20m for Downing, £1.5m for Etherington. I know which one's been more value for money!

I think we are a victim of our own success in that we have created a style of play, which by and large has been effective. I understand people's views on the lack of quality we show (especially this season) and as a neutral or a fan of pure carpet football it must be heart wrenching to see what we sometimes do to the "beautiful game". However, all I care about is results and heart! If we play hard and to the best of our abilty I dont really care what other people think!

When we play poor, with bad tactics and we dont get results - thats when I care!

(Edit) Smither's do you honestly think we we're POOR yesterday? cos I thought we played well, especially 2nd half.
No offence, just asking is all.

No, far from it! I was refering to our recent form in general and not the last 2 home games.

    That's what I thought Smither's.
Agreed, our form has been woeful but..? Personally going out of the Europa Cup will prove to be the "best thing for Stoke" IMO. It showed to some extent v Swansea but yesterday.. miles the better team and deserved the win.
Even the fans around me we're "up for the game as I was" always thought it would be tricky but with no Delap.. sorry Rory but our midfield looks far more balanced, especially when we use BOTH winger's.. and Tony Pulis did the right thing, subbing the front two made all the difference.

Just having seen the whole of the North East derby.. Notice the ref gave a pen for shirt pulling quite right too!
BUT, I pointed this out to a Norwich fan last night and got NO REPLY. It was shown on MOTD and even Liniker made a big point of it.. Holt grabbed Crouch's shirt and I saw it from behind the goal.. WHY the ref did not is beyond me. Which is why I get so P""""" of when like Norwich fans have done. WHINGE about a feckin throw in which, in fairness was difficult to spot. Re the ball came off of Wilson's boot but HOW the ref or Lino could see it I'll never know.

I agree with Sgt, 2nd half we could have scored at least two more. Ether's and Jerome spring too mind.

I don't think that the majority of Norwich fans whinged about the result. And it's fair comment from you lot about putting together a team on a shoestring and having to do what you do to get results. And to be fair you do get them. It just comes hard a week after pushing united all the way and arguably (SAF) being the better side too to watch that dross, which to be fair was as much our doing as it was Stoke's.No argument about the points though.Good Luck.
