I've always thought this - I fail to see how such a young manager who hasn't played at the top, can command respect from players that are a similar age as him, who have. I said from the outset this was a poor appointment and wouldn't last. Its nothing but another sad attempt by the owner to win his holy grail....fast becoming a nemesis! I really believe its a case of the little boy who's had everything he's ever wanted in life, finding you can't apply that to sport. Its no surprise Benitez name has cropped up with Hiddink gone, he has won it before, aye Roman, because that definetly means he'll win it again! Mourinho would have won it for him by now left alone, I don't care what anyone says.
Notso, I got banned from the Chav's board for insisting, even before the season began, that AVB would walk. And for continually referring to the CFC owner as the mad Russian oligarch. It wound them all up, but particularly those with a tendency towards idiocy, such as Skiddy, Cooper, and District Line. Yes, it wound them up, no end. But, then again, the truth is the truth. And they shot the messenger.
Well, whatever the reasons, Harry is out of the headlines finally. Mind you, I've realised its Friday tomorrow, column day!...I've come to dread it!
I reckon AVB has 3 more games. If doesn't get at least 2 wins, I reckon he'll be gone. Wenger won't get sacked, it'll just be down to whether he leaves or not.
Whinger has, fortunately for us, taken himself out of the race with his wins against a lethargic Spurs side and a 'Pool side that has forgotten how to score. It's a two-horse race, now, between Queen Kenny and AVB. Personally, I'd sack the Queen, because he's had millions to spend, whereas poor old AVB is stuck with a load of aging power-brokers, who keep stabbing him in the back. At least when Fergie took over United he only had Paul "the Guv'nor" Ince to deal with; poor old AVB has got Terry, Drogba, and Fat Frank.
I wonder how much that whole process cost Chelsea? Sacking Ancelotti, paying off Porto, hiring AVB, changing coaching staff, then paying AVB off...
Good. That should give just enough time for any ressurgence in form under a new manager to fade by the time we play them.
Must be roughly a Torres, maybe less if AVB gets a job in the next year which doesn't look too likely after he drove the Chelsea bus into a ravine.
I can't see that sacking AVB is going to do them any good at all. It's the mad Russian who is now the problem for Chelsea.
