Spending £14m on a manager and you only give him until March in his first season. For goodness sake!! The Chelsea players have got rid of Grant, Ancelotti and now AVB. I hope they're proud of themselves! AVB is clearly a talented manager and Chelsea are an ageing side. Roman needs to realise this and not give in to the Chelsea players. Who will want the Chelsea job now? You don't win anything in a season, you're sacked!
When the best part of your side are older than the actual manager you know you have got problems. Someone will see it as a challenge and go for it and not to mention the mega bucks they will get paid for it!
I know it's a results business, especially it seems for Chelsea. A bright young manager sacked so soon. I blame the players, the likes of Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Cole are ageing but they think they have a divine right to be play every week and pick up their £100K+.
I know what you are saying Sarge, but he has made a lot of mistakes in his tenure! They have been very poor this year but a club doesnt expect to pay 14 million for a manager and have what appears to be absolute chaos in the dressing room. Its a shame to see any manager sacked but he didnt do himself any favours.
From memory I can rememer quite a few games when we've played teams after sacking their manager.. TOO many let's just go there and " Have a go, we've nothing too lose" As for Chelsea THEY DO!
