My head says West Ham or draw! Desperate to stay top but Cardiff are still a real threat. What do you want from today's game?
Draw . That's what I want , but can see West ham winning . Changed my Mind . 1st Choice = Cardiff win . 2nd Choice = Draw Think 3rd option will be the outcome though ............
As a second choice, I have few problems with a draw. Normally, I always want a draw between opposition teams at the top [wasted 3rd point], but in this case, Cardiff are a surprising distance back in 8th, so I'd take a win for them. Cardiff might put in a performance after losing in the League Cup, last week.
You have to go for a draw. At the top end of the table, there's really very little between a draw and a defeat (thank god no-one told Lee Clark that last season!), so I don't think it's desperately important that West Ham lose - especially as Cardiff can't yet be 100% discounted. But if one side has to win, then I hope it's Cardiff.
Draw would be the best outcome. Can't believe how far back Cardiff are now, it seems only a few weeks ago that they were the form team and our main concern (of which there have been many). It just goes to show (if Birmingham last season wasn't enough) what a detrimental effect a good cup run can have on your league results, and unfortunatly for Cardiff they don't have anything to show for their exploits in the CC either.
Here I am posting away, waiting for the Cardiff/WHU match to start, and it's already underway. EDIT: I looked out the window about 10 minutes ago and there was sleet in the air. In Cardiff, it's beaming sunshine.
Draw for me. Yes Cardiff are quite far back now but there is alot of games left. A win against West Ham could ignite another charge up the table. I still think Reading will be our biggest threat but we do have the advantage of playing them at home. Will be a nerve wracking end of the season!
Draw for me as well. Cardiff is twelve adrift, but still within striking distance thanks to their games in hand...would like to narrow down the number of teams capable of catching us.
First choice a draw, then a Cardiff win. The first choice will help us get auto, the second would help us win title. Have you noticed that contenders for auto have come and gone, but there is only one constant...Southampton FC.
Apparently the little line drawn in the table between 2nd and 3rd is a bit stronger than it appears, as it seems to have repelled quite a few teams.
If either of these two teams play like this for rest of season i would bet on us and reading going up. Such a boring game.
Curse my speaking too soon. Fair play to Nolan good strike. Was that the first goal scored by West Ham this season that didn't involve a penalty or hoof upfield?
West Ham winning won't be particularly a bad thing. They are bound to finish 1st or 2nd so if they take points off 3rd-6th then it means we have more breathing space between us and 3rd-4th. That being said I'd prefer a draw and West Ham to stay below us
