Downing would be considered a flop (and very much is at present.) But I don't think the other two would be sold for that price in the summer under any circumstances. 2/3 years down the line, if they haven't improved, maybe. Jovanovic was a Benitez signing. He just put pen to paper under Roy. In related news, Henderson looked good yesterday. Just needs a bit more confidence. Of the 3, he's the one most of us have the highest hopes for. He's a bit like Paul Schole (not ability-wise) in that you don't hear anything about him off the pitch, and he doesn't seem the sort to cause trouble over contracts and wages. Compare his transfer to Carroll's, for example.
I seem to remember you saying that about our game against Chelsea. And Liverpool. And Norwich. Seems like yet another of your stopped clock predictions Remind me who's obsessed again
Adel Taraabt has had 63 shots this season, and has scored zero. Kenny has expressed an interest in taking him in the summer.
Ok, ill try... Going for a United win today, they always respond well to pressure. Expect Spurs to be a bit unsettled with all this Arry for England business. confidence may be a bit fragile after last weeks 5-2 drubbing against Arsenal. 3-0 United <pukes>
Nope. It's the person who made no posts about the Liverpool - Arsenal match yesterday, and has just made five posts about the Utd - Spurs match in the last 20 minutes Dalglish said he hoped Taraabt would teach Suarez and Carroll how to shoot straight
Based on the fact there are 6 teams better than you. Most of them will have more money to spend than you, no more 100 mil sprees now FFP is coming in. Four of the teams will be able to attract CL quality players. Get used to your position and more signings like Downing and Carroll.
Pedantic little sod! It will have far less negative effect on us then it will upon MANY teams and certainly not what was suggested by the dickhead earlier.
Well you made a £3 million loss in 09/10 before H&G interest payments, and that included CL income. In fact, your revenue fell last season so it's far from rosy in your financial garden right now. The extra sponsorship will help, and so will the savings on the wage bill, but unless you can get a new stadium or into Europe soon you'll be way behind Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea on revenue terms, and could be passed by City if they get a decent CL run going. You won't be as shafted as City and Chelsea, but unless you can get some revenue growth going FFP won't help you that much.
