Sometime we have to say the truth, even if we do not want to hear it. To stand a chance of top four finish,we need to win all our remaining games.
The chances were always slim. We need better players - it's that simple. Don't think we're underachieving with what we have. Just not capable of killing games with the forwards we have.
Time to play the young kids for the rest of the season now me thinks, Cody and Stirling for starters. Cement Spearing's place in the squad, and give Coates a good run next to Turtle.
TBH, I dont rate Spearing. In the last year hes come further on but I still dont think he'll ever be good enough, squad player at best in order to cover for Lucas. Agree that Coates needs to start more games, Whats the point in buying him if we arent going to give him a chance and with Agger out its time to look forward and not backwards to Carra (who has been brilliant over his career but is too close to the end now). Sterling is a must, Our wingers are terrible and what harm could it do to give Sterling a go.
Sterling for Downing. Shelvey for Adam...bring Hendo in the middle. Can see Dalglish not giving up on top 4 though, but Adam is not the answer! I hope he can see what we all can.
How is not killing off games not underachieving? Our objectives at the start of the season would have been a top 4 place. Getting trophies is a great bonus and achievement and winning the CC was fantastic but was not our top priority. So we have already missed our key target for the season.
If 4th was really your key target, you were kidding yourselves. The Carling Cup is a good start, never mind that you struggled to beat Cardiff, to overcome Chelsea away and Citeh over 2 legs shows there is something to build on. Long way to go. It will take another year or two to really fight for 4th
It's not underachieving as the forwards are not capable of anything better. The team is not yet good enough in terms of tallent to achieve 4th.
You 4get we have a very stubborn manager. He only does what he wants. He started with all his new boys in the cardiff game just to show off and it almost landed him in #$&t. he refused to buy a striker in january- even on loan. 4th is a dream now.

Patience for what? Not many games left to play! Personally I'm not as gutted as I thought I would be, now I can spend my Sunday/Saturday doing something else other than watching ****ty links on the laptop biting my nails off.
Mutant ones do. What else am I supposed to ****ing do on a weekend day though? I'm trying to be positive about this but it ant ****ing working. BTW we have won 2 of our last 10 games in the PL.
I forgot top four weeks ago and I was told to **** off. However... I am a firm believer in if you expect nothing you get nothing. i expected the Carling Cup - what I didn't expect was that we had to work so bloody hard for it! I haven't expected top four because we keep making the same mistakes in the Premier League. There is nothing wrong with our play, it's our finishing. That's the bottom line. That and our ****e penalty taking!
Ok, have you all got rid of your angst? FSG and KK have always talked about this being a programme of improvement AND THEY HAVE DELIVERED. We have all identified where our failings are and we know that there is little that we can do about it until the end of the season. But there is nothing written in stone about 4th spot yet and all we can do is to keep trying. Our style of play is getting back to where we want it to be. THE LIVERPOOL WAY is being presented to you on the pitch week after week. That is such an improvement on the state we were in under Voy.
