I will. In fact I'll bookmark your words to torment you with when you come 7th again next season You were my inspiration for the idea, so I've named it in your honour. "The suarezlfc Memorial Pundit League" Has a great ring to it
Mark Lawrenson is currently getting hammered in the PL score predictions by that world class pundit Tinchy Stryder...
So what you're saying is next year is your year? Fulham, Stoke and Brum weren't, but I think Spurs vs Hearts got on ITV 4 in the play off round. Liverpool will probably get on live in the play off round if not the qualifying rounds due to the audience they'll get.
Run along Swarbs, take a look at the league table mate, you aint gunna win **** this season, so stop giving it the big one.
We may not win any silverware, but we will be in the Champs league next season, which brings in more £££ and better players
Forget Carroll, we all know he's a donkey. As much of a **** as he is, I have considered Suarez to be a very good player since he joined Liddypool. I was surprised to hear during the game today that in his 20 PL matches this season he has scored 6 goals and had 1 assist. He seems to be excellent at creating chances, like Aguero, but can't finish, unlike Aguero. As their main striker, you'd expect more from him. No doubt they also expected more from Carroll but I would guess that any expectations of Carroll died during his first training session as through balls were bouncing off his shins. Also, the Sky "experts" said Downing hasn't scored a PL goal or made an assist all season! That's ****ing shocking! Jamie, he's a top top triffic player, Redknapp said before the game that Downing needed to transfer the form he showed in the Carling Cup final to the Premier League. Are these people so ****ing stupid that they didn't notice Liddypool were playing a Championship side last weekend? Anyway, maybe they've turned a corner and next year will be their year.
The form suarez showed early on, if I am honest I was envious of LFC managing to get him. Having seen him in the internationals he struck me as a really good buy His stats though are shocking, although with what he has around him (adam, downing et al) I am not suprised Downing in particular seems intent on trying to score rather than provide
Too many times Suarez is expected to do everything, certain other players consistency levels aren't good enough. This leaves Suarez in a predicament and he get's frustrated, often trying the Hollywood finish. If he had consistent (and in some cases better) players around him his stats would improve dramatically. Previously his domestic and Internationally his stats are fantastic, I know the Dutch league isn't as strong as the EPL but he literally tore it to pieces. I'm not keen on his character and see why many people dislike him, but as far as football goes I love watching him play. Quite simply put - he needs better players around him and a better striker than Carroll to play off. No denying on his day, there aren't many better. But until our attack click we wont see the best of him. Money needs to be spent in the summer on quality, not quantity, as overall we have a pretty solid squad. It's a work in progress, and although the table doesn't back that up, it's clear we're playing better football than recent years. Just no-where near clinical enough at the moment.
Not sure about the Hollywood finish analogy - he seems to do fine with the Hollywood moves (like against us last season), it's when he gets a relatively easy chance he often seems to snatch at it and hit the post or miss. Maybe the pressure of being a central striker and playing in a fairly unfamiliar formation is getting to him? Reckon you're playing better than you were under Benitez?
At times Yes. The vast majority of Benitez's time we were far more clinical, especially when Torres was unplayable. Then of course the CL win and CL runners up two years later. So clearly more consistent. But we're more attack minded under Kenny - The irony of it! We can't ****ing score Hard to compare at this stage, Kenny's had to rebuild and needs more time.
I wouldn't say it went downhill, he got us to the final 2 years later. Also gave us our highest finish in the league for years..... Then it went downhill big time
Rafa's performance was severely hindered by the shananingings of H&G. It will be more than a few years for us to be able to learn the real truth of what was going on within the club and how it truly affected us
