Luckily we have a deep squad and players like Sharp, Lallana and SDR to come back in.

 

He did a hell of a lot more than Puncheon.

 

Fonte needs to grow his hair back...scarcely headed a ball since.

 

Shouldn't have flown up today at all tbh. Whatever happened to getting there a few days before?.

 

He has been well below par since the cut tbh.

 

The way the keeper played for Saints today he would have probably saved the penalty had it been given...

 

Everything was against us today, Sky TV (we never win), Leeds new manager (usually works), away to the best Club in the Championship (probably/some would say apart from us!), tickets too expensive (some of our fans no matter how dedicated, would not shell out £36-00), suspect Referee (not bad in the event), and so little luck this year (used it up in one game I reckon). No worries, we overcame everything but don't ask me how, it isn't logical.

 

Are 5-yard radios what used to be called ghetto-blasters?

 

It is a very close debate on that. Just before the game I was thinking how lucky we ate to have Puncheon as Lallana was out. Disappointed with both, but how can people say he did a job when in fact he never controlled the ball under pressure and gave a free kick away at a very critical part...mind you there were a few others who were lacklustre at best!

All water under the bridge now. This win could prove critical. Very, very, happy.

I was amazed to see so many huge gaps in the overall crowd. How ever many fans went up to Elland Rd, they certainly made themselves heard.

 

Gate was just over 20,000.....thought it would be bigger than that, even though on TV.

 

Why do some come on here to single out Guly for criticism, he was not on all that long, but was given a job to do and carried it out well as far as I could see. Foxes injury is a worry, but Dan H slotted in seamlessly.

 

I thought Guly was great! Held the ball up, defended well enough, made himself available for passes, filled in well in midfield, committed a couple of good professional fouls(!), what more can you ask for in a game like that?

Your not gonna win every game with style and although you rode your luck, you got the win anyway and thats what title challengers do.

Puts a lot of pressure on us to win tomorrow but I actually think we will be too strong for Cardiff which will still leave us in a strong position given the game in hand.

Its going to the wire IMO but I do think we will be the top 2 in the end. In what order I don't know but I dont really care as promotion is all that matters.

What happened to the attendance today against the top of the league?

 

Just remembered. Wasn't there supposed to be a boycott of the game from a section of Leeds fans..? That would account for a large percentage of the gaps. The TV coverage and the price would do the rest.

 

I thought that Leeds were magnificent and were desperately unlucky how we didnt win by at least 3 I will never knowbut you can be sure we sent a shiver down the rest of the teams

 

Dunno about that but you certainly played well and deserved something. Promotion for you next season I would say.
