Hope there's still some left for the Reading game.

Oh and by the way, that's unsurprisingly the best I've ever seen the opposition play against us this (has overtaken Reading's performance against us when we went to their place in the Autumn). So well done Leeds, and hard luck. Play like that for the rest of the season, and you can certainly get promoted via the play-offs.

Thing is, though, if that pen had been given, I have a feeling we would have put in a better performance, chasing a result. And Leeds may have not been so full throttle with a one goal buffer.

Certainly. Normally we can make other teams look crap by defending them out of the game, but definitely not today. Leeds fans can feel very proud.

Have to give credit to the Referee, he did buy a few dives, but let the blood and thunder go mostly unpunished, some autograph hunters would have had a field day and ruined the match.

Ditto. Unbelievable. If Leeds play like that, good for them.
Hoodoo? On TV (when we've been crap 9 times out of 10) and against a side with a new manager (when we've also been crap, on this one I should say the oppo always up their game)...

I agree, he did well to hold it up at times. Good player to have in situations like that.

Fantastic result in the end thanks to Lambert and Kelvin. Defence is also part of the game, so no apologies for that. Someone should tell Fonte that CBs can head the ball..he's always protecting his face and one day it will really cost us. Winning when not at your best is what Champions are made of...NA will go through the game, draw a blue line under it, then onto Tuesday.

Agreed...I'd rather a referee blow his whistle too infrequently rather than too much, and he seemed to have decided that unless the infraction would merit criminal charges, it was best to let play continue. Don't mind that; made for a really compelling game with few stoppages, and probably the most physical battle we've been involved with this year.

He was ok today, but can't understand why he can't head it when there's no one within 5 yard radios of him. Baffling.

They (and us!) are going to be absolutely knackered on Tuesday, for a seriously on-form Ipswich.

    Awesome performance.

One very happy and relieved Saints fan here.

Yes, but don't forget you have a lot of interference on 5-yard radios.

One of the decisions was dodgy; where Deano and one of their players were running after a loose ball, and the Leeds player pulled Deano's arm several times, and whilst they were tumbling, proceeded to kick out at Deano's head. Sickening.

That Fonte handball was so blatant. I automatically thought penalty. Cannot believe it wasn't given. Laughable decision.

I think the team will be on a high after winning away against a team playing out of their skin. They will fly back tonight and have Sunday, Monday and most of Tuesday to prepare. They will be feeling invincible...can't see a problem.

Granted he's not the best at headers. I felt a lot more comfortable with the ball around him today than Cork though......
