In a way, I do - or to be more precise, people who don't drive. I know you'd be out of a job :(, but I really think we'd all be better off if the Tory government of the 60's had ripped up Richard Beeching's BR report & built a better public transport system instead of basically forcing everyone onto the roads.

There's no way back now though.:(

though...fewer people are learning because they can't afford to drive once they pass...so i have a feeling numbers will cut sooner or later...

Morning all, somewhat grey here at the moment. Must do some dashing around this morning to replace some supplies.

Hopefully I will be able to listen in today without something happening that cannot wait.

Chateauroux picked up a useful point last night that sees them just in the top half of the table. Waiting now for the day we make that breakthrough. ;)

I do like him as a comedian - i think he is very funny. But I am not a great fan of "celebrities" doing these mass fun raising in the full glare of the media and then get on the TV to try and make us mere mortals feel inadequate and put our hands in pockets again and again. I think John is a very genuine bloke and have a lot of time for him - but there are others that only do it to get their names and faces on the TV, that I am really fed up with. A certain superstar DJ who walked up a mountain in Africa to raise money and then flew in a private jet home - well that money could have gone to a good cause as well!

Morning all. Good news for my sister who has passed her theory test on the third time of trying. So it was not a waste of a trip to Cambridge.

I am now just about to leave for the Vic. I will see you all later. Hopefully after watching the horns win.

Yeah, a very early one as i had to be up at 7 to get to Cambridge. Im glad i did, as it was a shock to the system. Ok then not a day over 40, if it helps.

i'm with you about some of the celebs who do it for themselves...but i'm torn, coz at the end of the day, they help raise money for good causes that might not be raised any other way...

Yes please ak. I will go for a <ale> while Mme.cooks my liver and bacon in a thick onion sauce. ;)

She has a relieved look on her face since full time and knows that the evening will be less fraught.

I have seen Watford relegated 6 times - it's painful but definitely not the end of the World!

Mind you, I enjoyed the 8 promotion seasons a lot more.......

Courage Red - especially if the Ashton Vale Stadium gets the go-ahead - Bristol deserves more than Ashton Gate and the Memorial Ground as its football venue.

Have you ever considered getting together with Rovers to form a Bristol United - you would surely establish yourselves in the top flight........

Ah but both City & Rovers are in the same city with its Bristolian loyalties.

Us and them are not only in different towns but also in different counties.

I will now remove my tongue from my cheek.........

It has been bought up a few times but many have said no way <laugh>

I'd love it when/if we get our new stadium at Aston Vale but there are a few people trying to **** us over what with this Village Green and Judicial review lark. I think it's been about 4 years at this moment and it took Brighton 14 to get theirs I believe.

I hope we don't have to wait another 10 <yikes>
