1-1, pretty fair result on both teams. But we fared much much better than we've done so far in 2012. Next week will be crucial though.
MOTD's Jonathan Pearce at Loftus Road: FULL-TIME QPR 1-1 Everton "Everton led through Royston Drenthe's drive, but Bobby Zamora headed QPR level and earned them a point. The home side also hit the post twice, with Everton striking the crossbar early on. A point for QPR stops the rot but they are going to need wins. Plenty of positives, though, from a much-improved performance from the home side."
We played well although looked tired near the end. Bit more luck and a cooler head and we'd have the 3 points. Cisse and Diakite back for next week and we'll need them.
Can't fault the application today but the finishing was woeful. 22 shots 1 goal says it all really. Game changer for me though would be Friend not playing advantage. Mystifying decision.
From Ross Doyle on Twitter: "'Jose Mourinho' chants from Chelsea fans at the Hawthorns. Says it all."
brilliant display by the lads today, what a refreshing change to actually dominate much of the game, reminds me of some of our better early season form. shame about the finishing (taarabt unlucky, how on earth did buz hit the post?!) but with cisse coming back in hopefuly we'll look even more of a threat up front. we need to carry this performance into the bolton game, what a huge 6 pointer. feel really encouraged, u rrrrs!!
Deserved the win but at least we've stopped the rot and Cisse and Diakite back for Bolton. Bolton and Wigan good results...
I thought Hill was brilliant at the heart of defence and a bit unlucky from our set plays and what about that goal saving tackle, for me he was my MOTM. I do hope we are not going to get the usual arseholes slagging him off during the week saying he is not good enough and too old.
Progress!! Win next seek not at all impossible if our red card dubutants can hold their zeal / ire. Villa let us down.
A really good show but we're not in a position where we can afford to play well and not win. I thought everyone played quite well except SWP, who, bless him, can't do anything right. We're fortunate that Wigan and Blackburn dropped points in very winnable games.
he was qute good today, lacking a bit in pace, but made it up in positioning and didn't really have any trouble. and the same goes for all defenders, not a tough game for them...
As I said I had to miss the match but from what I hear it was a great performance? Very encouraging and with Bolton, Wigan and the scum losing all in all a good day
Hey Watford, i just checked your predictions for the run in, and feeling relatively optimistic. We got a pt when you predicted a defeat, and Wigan lost when you predicted a win. This is going down to the wire... Onwards and upwards, you Rsssssssssssss
Bit better today! Great effort by everyone exemplified by Traore's last minute goal saving intervention, and Barton was everywhere. Adel gave away the goal, but was unlucky again! As was SWP! Zamora was good. Onouha very good. Hill good. Buzacky good except for his miss. We seemed a bit better organised as well. 3 points at Bolton and we'll be looking a bit healthier.
I thought he put in a shift as always but did he ever beat a man or get a good cross in? I can't fault his effort but just don't think the quality is there.
