Just checked on wikipedia...apparently 'goals win games.' I'd have to verify that elsewhere, though. I've always though on MotD, since it airs at 10pm, they should just say 'Wigan are ****ing ****e' etc.
2-0 with 15 mins to play? And getting absolutely slaughtered (according to the stats!) I'm watching the Chelsea game.
Lol, then we could have a "pundit league". Doesn't matter how many goals you score, you just get points based on what Lawro and Shearer think of your performance. Liverpool might be in with a shout of the top six then... I just knew City would score again as soon as I posted that! When I posted it the stats were all against them, but they still had an unlikely chance of snatching a late goal. Never thought they would, but I'm a glass half full kinda guy
I jumped on your timing error if I'm honest It's probably gonna be 2-2 by the time I've posted this! EDIT: still 2-0
Probably not accepting bets anymore!! Not only are they losing, they've been outplayed in all positions..
Don't care anymore, 4th's gone unless a miracle happens! We can sit back and relax - hopefully bleed some youngsters in, settle for Europa league, and possibly win the FA cup. Where we finish is irrelevant now to be honest. It's time to plan for next season...
I think it's clear to see we've progressed, looking at the table may suggest otherwise, but our play is far better than the last few years. Plus we've won some silverware, which is progression. It's his first season back - it was never going to happen overnight - but progress is definitely happening. "next year is our year"
Yep, you're definitely moving us suarezlfc's "pundit league" Although if you keep your current form up for the rest of the season you'll have your lowest points total in over a decade. So is this going to be an Arsenal-esque progression of "we play great football but win very little and never challenge for the title"?
So it's firmly established as mine now is it? I can't remember saying anything about pundits, besides that they ought to swear on MotD...
Don't count your chickens. Carling Cup winners only enter at the third qualifying round so you've still got a full two rounds to negotiate before you can dream of Thursday Night Lights on Chanel No 5. Then you have the negotiate the group stage if you want to experience the magic of ITV4...
