We probably got two players in the top two because luckily they only play opposition having a bad day.

Anyone got a spare chip for my other shoulder, then I'd be a well balanced person:grin:

Leeds with Gradel in the team are the best side I have seen visit Upton Park this season without a doubt.

As mentioned before the amount of teams that say 'we didn't turn up' ' saints were lucky' ' wrong formation, manager' etc. It is so pathetic only a handful of times have I seen genuine praise from other supporters. We're by far the best team in the division and as for teams such as west hoof and Leeds a lot of the fans are too big for their boots thinking they can turn up at any team and beat them. Top of the league for a reason, consistent class and determine.
Anyways today's game will be tough no doubt and hopefully we won't let the new manager syndrome get the better of us. I think we'll go there and get a point which personally I would take. UTS

I think you may have you red and white tinted glasses on a bit there mate. If we were by far the best team in the division I think we would be out in front with a gap to second something akin to Charlton's.

Calling us names West Hoof / Wet Spam etc is quite frankly embarassing and makes you look very silly indeed. Try and be a grownup.

You were very good when we played you at your place earlier in the season. At Upton Park we were playing you off the park and outpassing you for 20 mins before taylor was sent off. If we had kept 11 on the pitch we would have won comfortably. you resorted to the long ball long before we did.

You do play some nice stuff but don't believe you are some kind of mini Barcelona. you are guilty of launching the ball up to Lambert on plenty of occasions.

I think Southampton will struggle at Leeds tonight. I think they will start quickly and cause you too many problems. For what its worth, I think we will struggle up there too in a few weeks.

    Leeds 3 - 1 Saints.

The odds are very close for this match (6/4 Saints, 2 Leeds). Usually the odds quoted heavily favour Saints (not that we won every time of course), so people are finding this hard to call.

I am surprised that you would take a point, we haven't been good this season at Elland Road and we have failed in our attempts to bring in some decent defenders. Several times in the past few weeks we have relied on the opponents going down to 10 men in the first half. We are there for the taking you should be looking for all three point.

Of course I hope Leeds win and just as important I hope we put on a good organised display which would give us some hope that we are making improvements under Warnock. Just a few games into the season I felt Southampton would hold on till the end and I believe they deserve to go up with an automatic promotion, second I think Reading deserve it but I feel West Ham will hold out.

My head says 0-2 Southampton but I shall go with my heart and predict 1-0 Leeds, that would be quite a miracle of a result, a second consecutive clean sheet and keeping Lambert and co at bay

I'm not quite sure how you've come to that conclusion (that the pressure is really on us to win). You might be concerned with 1st place, but I couldn't care less. 1st or 2nd, I don't mind. If you said that the pressure was on at home to Ipswich and Barnsley over the next week, than yes I would agree with you. Big, big pressure on us to win both of them - at home, against sides with no chance of making the play-offs.

But not today. Away from home, against a decent team. I'd snap your hand off for a point. Win our home games, draw our away games, and we should get over the line. We might need to average slightly better than the 2 points per game that that would bring, but in that case I'd be looking at the away games vs Posh, Millwall and/or Palace to take 3 points from, rather than tonight.

Really, honestly, you can walk away with the Championship title. Have it all wrapped up with 5 games left. SO long as we finished 2nd, I would not care.

Second that, Brendy. We finished second last season and I don't see how we could have been happier than at the Walsall game. Safely second, no chance of first and playing Coventry for fun...I'll take that.

Well said Sir and a point well made.

I have said elsewhere that whilst it would be nice to lift that trophy, I would take second in an instant if offered it now so I agree with what you are saying.

Adam Blackmore‏: "Former Leeds players Dan Harding & Fraser Richardson, and Guly amongst Saints travelling contingent walking into tunnel #saintsfc"

Would suggest that Richardson and Guly are both fit again.

Even more so, considering that Lallana is an injury doubt. (It may well his absence that opens up the space for Guly to come back into the squad).

Shame, but it did always appear inevitable that Lallana would miss. He's been in such good form recently as well. Still, at least Richardson in back.

Slightly surprised to see Lee start again, after playing for Japan in midweek.

Strange that Connolly has suddenly been ditched from the squad.
