We were always gonna be work in progress this season and 4th would have been a bonus. I do think Kenny got it wrong with his purchases but im prepared to give him a chance,this is his first full season and hes already won us a cup and a place in Europe next season and the possibility of another cup final and trophy. I have been a red through the good times and the bad and always will be a red. it's not the timing of the substitutions that bothered me, it was who was, or rather who was not substituted. One thing I know for certain is that Maxi will be off in the summer. If he can't get a game ahead of Adam, and Adam gets the full 90(8) minutes, while Downing and Spearing get taken off????? Is there some Scottish bias going on here? Adam spent the day over-hitting EVERYTHING, and kicking chunks out of anyone who went close to him, he is a liability, and a wasteful resource. No-one can tell me that someone else would not have made more of that position today?

I agree with all of this. I really don't like Adam in the team, never saw the attraction while he was at Blackpool. I think the idea of let's buy British is very noble and Hendo and Downing are coming good but Adam's two beats behind everyone else - no vision and very slow off the mark.
The positive - apart from the fact that we dominated, but sorry you don't get points for that, only goals count! - is that Downing appeared to have finished where he left off last week. Adam... And I still rue the fact that we didn't even think about bringing in Tevez for a couple of months. He's a finisher anyway. I wasn't asking for commitment from him, I don't care if he is the son of Satan, I was asking for someone who could put the bloody ball into the back of the bloody net so to up his kudos with overseas clubs who may have wanted to buy him whilst at the same time give us some bloody points on the bloody board!
