Defender Luke Young is hoping to return to action after two matches out with a hamstring injury. Everton striker Nikica Jelavic could feature after recovering from a groin problem, but Darron Gibson is missing with a knee injury. Jack Rodwell (hamstring) and Leon Osman (knee) could also play a part after appearing for the reserves. MATCH PREVIEW Loftus Road has become the Amityville House of Horrors for QPR - they've lost seven league matches and had five players sent off there. Another red card on home soil would create a Premier League record. They have also dropped 13 points from winning positions on their own patch. Unless they keep 11 men on the field, avoid costly suspensions and start picking up points fast, they'll go down. They do have quality players and their 10 men fought commendably in the second half against Fulham. But, starved of service, Bobby Zamora was anonymous and Adel Taarabt had one of his infuriating days. They desperately need Djibril Cisse back from his ban. He could keep them up. It's not a good time to be playing Everton, either. The Toffees are on a seven-match unbeaten run. They don't score many (just 26 goals in 25 matches) but they've conceded just nine in their last 13 games. QPR will have to show 100% improvement to break them down. Once again, David Moyes has seen his side improve as the season has gone on, despite injuries and financial restraint. Tim Cahill is finally shrugging off his fitness problems. He's completed as many 90-minute performances in the last five weeks as he did in the previous five months. Leon Osman and Jack Rodwell continued their recuperation with a reserve team game this week and Phil Jagielka is back in training. Steven Pienaar will be available after being cup-tied for the game against Blackpool, but how much will his midweek trek to South Africa have taken out of him - and will Everton's fortnight break ruin the solid, dependable rhythm they'd discovered? Everton are the form side - and QPR must lift the Amityville curse to stand any chance of staying up. By Jonathan Pearce BBC Match of the Day commentator MATCH FACTS Head-to-head QPR have won four of their last five home games against Everton. QPR's 1-0 win at Goodison Park earlier this season was their first league victory since returning to the top flight. They last met on 3 March in 1979 when Everton won 2-1 with goals from Bob Latchford and George Telfer. QPR QPR have lost six of their last eight league matches, the worst form in the division. They have lost their last three league matches - they have yet to lose four in a row this season. Rangers have won just one of their last 14 league games, picking up four points in the six games since Mark Hughes took over as manager. The Rs have earned more points away than at Loftus Road this season (11, compared to 10 at home). QPR have conceded in each of their last 17 Premier League matches - their last clean sheet was a 1-0 home win against Chelsea on 23 October. This is their longest such run in the top flight since a 20-match streak from November 1978 to April 1979. Everton Everton are unbeaten in their last five league matches (W2, D3) - but haven't played a league game for three weeks. The Toffees have lost just one of their last five away league matches - that was at Tottenham in January. David Moyes' side have scored just 26 goals in 25 league matches this season. Among Premier League clubs, only Wigan have scored fewer. But only Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United have conceded fewer than Everton's 27 league goals in this campaign. Victor Anichebe has scored three goals in the club's last four Premier League away games, including each of the last two. Lawro's prediction please log in to view this image QPR v Everton This game falls into the 'must-win' category for QPR, because they are sinking like a stone. The change of manager has not worked for them as yet and, while you don't always see an instant response when you do that, the big problem for Mark Hughes is that he keeps seeing his players sent off. Samba Diakite's red card against Fulham last Saturday was QPR's fifth at home this season and that undermines what Hughes is trying to do. It comes from a lack of self-discipline as much as anything - as a player, if you have been booked already, you just have to be very, very careful. Everton, in contrast, are on a great run of late, having won four of their last five games. They had last weekend off because Liverpool were in the Carling Cup final but, because they have been playing well and winning, David Moyes and his players would probably have preferred not to have had a break. If I went with recent form, then I would obviously back Everton to win here but I quite fancy an upset on the basis that QPR's luck will change eventually, and they will begin to get a break or two. To be fair to Rangers, they haven't played that badly of late but they just keep pressing the self-destruct button and making things difficult for themselves. They will end their bad run sooner or later, though, and this might just be the game where it happens for them. Prediction: 2-1 LoftForWords History - Memories of Dave Thomas and 1987 as QPR face Everton http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=16196&title=memories_of_dave_thomas_and_1987_as_qpr_face_everton_%E2%80%93_history Opposition profile - Toffees sticking true to previous form http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=16197&title=toffees_sticking_true_to_previous_form_%E2%80%93_opposition_profile Full match preview - QPR hope to avoid more self destruction as Everton visit http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=16206&title=qpr_hope_to_avoid_more_self_destruction_as_everton_visit_%E2%80%93_full_match_preview Good luck everyone ! For those attending, get behind the lads and cheer us to victory. And for those who can't and/or watching it on tv/stream lets get the banter going.
QPR: Kenny, Hill, Derry, Taarabt, Traore, Buzsaky, Barton, Wright-Phillips, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Zamora. Subs: Cerny, Gabbidon, Bothroyd, Mackie, Young, Smith, Taiwo. Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Heitinga, Drenthe, Stracqualursi, Distin, Cahill, Neville, Pienaar, Fellaini. Subs: Mucha, Jagielka, Jelavic, Gueye, Barkley, Osman, Coleman.
Hmmm Something like this maybe? Kenny Onouha-Ferdinand-Hill-Traore Barton-Derry SWP-Buz-Taarabt Zamora Thoughts?
Worried by this team selection. Hope i'm proved wrong. Look at our attcking players. SWP has been awful so far, Buz is inconsistent and Adel might have a good day. I had predicted a 3-1 win to us before i saw this team. Can't believe he has only one recognised forward on the pitch for a must win game. Either Bootsy or Mackie should be starting. Worried.
More likely: ----------------Kenny------------------- --Onuoha--Ferdinand--Hill--Traore-- --Barton--Derry--Buzsacky--SWP-- ------------------Taarabt------------- --------------Zamora-----------------
With the available players would have liked to see Kenny Young-Onouha-Ferdinand-Taiwo SWP-Barton-Derry-Traore Zamora-Adel 0r Kenny Young-Onouha-Ferdinand-Traore SWP-Barton-Derry-Adel Zamora-Mackie
At least we have someone who can take a decent dead ball back on the pitch. Sorry Joey, yours just don't cut it.
Taiwo got off the pitch with a slight injury last game, bet that's why he's not in starting XI. Would otherwise have expected him to start, has improved every game this far...
