Itâs The CanariesSoccer Match Center for the ballgame featuring: Canaries @ Potters Live from The Pottery Wheel Stadium, in Association with the Britannia Building Societyâ¢. Last gameday saw Canaries take it right to the buzzer against the world famous Red Devils Franchise, only losing to an R. Giggs score attempt conversion deep into overtime. In that matchup G. Holt converted for Canaries from inside the 18 yard line, making the match a tiegame after P. Scholes opened up the Canaries de-fense in the opening quarter. Coach Lambert: âWe played really well and we deserved something from the game. The lads were really disappointed, which just shows how far we've come as a football club, but we gave it a go." Coach Lambert can have no complaints with his depth-chart-rotation-schedule so far this series, however following the strong showing against Red Devils many Canaries fans would be surprised to see a change to his starting XI. A recent talking point has been the performance of score-attempt-converter S. Morison, however his physical presence alongside G. Holt could prove to be an antidote to the powerful Potters de-fense. please log in to view this image Potters have had a successful series so far, including a stint in the European Soccer League (ESL®). They currently sit P12 in the EPL⢠divisional standings, but will fancy their chances of a higher-placed finish now that they are free from European commitments. Their long-pass-play technique is widely regarded as brutally efficient, and they possess amongst the most aggressive midfield-linesmen in the game. Coach Pulis: âTheyâve [Norwich] got some quality players who are relishing playing in the Premier League and theyâre playing with no inhibitions. Whereas Swansea have won many plaudits with their passing game, thereâs more strength, power and pace to Norwichâs approachâ Whether Coach Lambert can select an XI capable of dealing with the power of the Potters remains to be seen, however based on previous outings we can expect an intense battle. Canaries have had problems with their de-fense which have resulted in numerous interceptions and fumble-recoveries; this is a luxury which cannot be afforded to a Potters Franchise who revel in a high pressure off-fense. This sure is going to be a great Soccer matchup, so fill up your Coca-Cola⢠tankards, get your hot-dog's and grab a seat for this smash-and-grab matchup, brought to you exclusively on Not606! 5 Star CS...love the "fumble-recoveries", though hope our de-fense suffer less from these this afternoon OTBC
Usual high quality post PC, hopefully most visiting fans are understanding the humour, and hopefully they will be a little bit more gracious than our recent visitors! 5 stars from me
Sorry to disappoint you canaryman, I thoroughly enjoy these posts from match center - always pop on to your board to have a look - great stuff. Thanks for sharing
Stoke v Norwich Stoke: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Wilson, Shotton, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington, Walters, Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Jones, Fuller, Diao, Pennant, Upson, Jerome. Norwich: Ruddy, Martin, Ward, Whitbread, Naughton, Pilkington, Howson, Johnson, Elliott Bennett, Surman, Holt. Subs: Steer, Morison, Jackson, Hoolahan, Fox, Wilbraham, Ryan Bennett. Referee: Michael Oliver (Northumberland) Howson starting! looks like a 4-5-1 to me but a very different formation! Always surprises from Lambert. Shame Drury isn't in the squad though, I imagine he's knackered
Trying to work out our formation. The best I can come up with is this. Ruddy R Martin - Ward - Whitbred - Naughton Johnson - Surman E Bennett - Howson - Pilkington Holt Or play Howson where Surman is and then stick Bennett or Pilkington down the middle.
I think you've got it about right Wonky. Surman might have a freer role I suppose? Bennett obviously there to help Martin in defence too
So Pennant is on the bench again, will Pulis ever start with him and Ethers again this season? At least Delap is nowhere to be seen this afternoon, unless he is injured of course. Hope to see another Stoke win but odds probably favour a draw.
